Okay wow! This restaurant is so delicious and has such a relaxing atmosphere. The service is top of the line! Everyone working here is professional, helpful, friendly, and knows the menu by heart. The owner is the chef, which is evident by how flavorful, fresh, and authentic everything is. There is a pretty wide selection of food & wine, and they have different specials that are not on the menu that sound amazing. The bread and olive tapenade that they bring out is so fresh, the rolls are hot and just perfect. For appetizers, we ordered the Burrata con Pera, which is pears, cheese, honey, sea salt, and balsamic–it was truly fantastic. We also had the Tris Di Zuppe, which is a sampler of three different puree soups (roasted tomato, broccoli, and rapini aka Italian Broccoli) and they came with garlic bread–all three were delicious and so fresh. For dinner we had the Pinsa Rustica, which is a similar dough to pizza, but has a nicer taste, and it came with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, arugula and prosciutto on it–very tasty and fresh. We also ordered the Papardelle con Ragu Di Pollo e Porcini, which has wide noodles in a delicious chicken meat sauce with mushrooms–it was very good. For dessert we had the Crème Brûlée and the Chocolate Soufflé. Both were decadent and had a perfect sweetness; the Chocolate Soufflé is creamy and gooey in the center and comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and the Crème Brûlée was the best I’ve ever had. We finished off dinner with a shot of their homemade Limoncello, which leaves a delightful taste on your palate and a nice warm feeling. Again, I cannot emphasize how amazing and attentive the servers are–they take the whole experience over the top. I will definitely be back here 🙂

Awesome Family run Italian restaurant. Staff are super friendly and customer service is great. Pastas are a must try. Everything on the menu is customizable and they’ll probably make anything you ask for! They also gave us some ice cream (passion, berry & coconut) on the house!!10/10 would recommend

Truly the best espresso martini I’ve ever had! The service was phenomenal and accommodated our party of 22 and was the best dinner and service we had in Amsterdam! Also accommodated gluten, nut, sesame and flax seed allergies and gave everyone lots of options for dinner. Definitely add to your list, this place will quickly become a staple in Amsterdam!!

Honestly the best Italian food i have had since my time in Paris. The food was top notch, true delight for the tastebuds. No match to the service provided by our server Edgar. He helped educate on the different forms of pastas and plus taught us the authentic pronunciation for each. Chef robert cooked up a tasty meal. Highly recommended this place.

I moved from CA in 2006 and Gio’s is the ONLY restaurant that I miss . Aside from the food which is incredibly delicious and never disappoints, the service and friendliness is unmatched … Always feels like home. Can’t wait to visit in November. Truly amazing in every way ! Roberto and staff are the best !
