Super cheap, very good sushi, in the evenings they have a special, 2 soup or salad, 3 regular rolls and 2 special rolls for 45$ Thats a killer deal. Ingredients were fresh, and the rolls are HUGE in comparison to most places in that same area. I will say, tho just don’t try to add or take off anything to the rolls.. bc it’s very expensive, apparently, even tho they did it wrong and added things to the wrong rolls. Waitress needs to start writing things down if it’s a complicated order. All in all, I’d say def give this place a shot if you’re just looking for good sushi, good portions, and cheap prices.

Sushi was okay, a little on the small side for the rolls. The big disappointment was the $5 cucumber salad that had zero dressing and barely any sesame seeds. Overall I wouldn’t go back

EDIT AS OF 10/31/18: Customer service was awful tonight. The sashimi that came out on the sushi boats tasted both lackluster and fishy (especially the yellowtail). Rolls were not adequately assembled; they fell apart with minimum chopstick manipulation. They messed up our shrimp tempura appetizer and only brought out one shrimp from the getgo. Turns out that the the owner had brought out the replacement shrimp and had given it to the sushi staff. She did admit this mistake, and they have removed this item from our bill.

I know this is strange, but out of all of the years I have eaten at Hunan, I had never been to Ginza, upstairs from Hunan, until today.

Shrimp hibachi dinner was not good at all. Vegetables were chunky and hard. There was a brown sauce on half of the rice, the shrimp, and the veggies. The taste of the sauce overpowered the taste of the food. Use to be a guaranteed good meal, this meal was a fail.

Let me say, I’ve eaten from here before and it was completely different. This was the first time I sat in. We were the only ones in the restaurant so we were seated immediately. We were sat at the first table in the area. The table next to us hadn’t been bussed and it looked like it had been sitting like that for a while. It stayed like that for more than half of our meal.

We come a few times a year to meet our buddy when he comes in town and they never let us down. They are attentive and their sushi is delicious. They remember us and make us feel like family. Tonite we got edamame, spicy Kani salad, smoked salmon sashimi, squid salad and the kamikaze roll. It was so good, I forgot to get pics! I did capture one of the roll before it was completely devoured.

I ordered food via Waitr. Despite detailed instructions it took the driver more than 20 minutes to get the food to me once parked. I’d ordered a salad…don’t. It was lettuce, a small container of nothing but iceberg lettuce. I also ordered a snow crab salad (pictured). I’ve never seen a snow crab salad with so little snow crab. It was tasteless and I threw the entire thing away. I’m a huge snow crab fan and had missed lunch. For me to throw it away it had to be bad. The only edible part of the order was the sushi but I specified to use soy paper instead of seaweed. Guess what. That’s right, they used seaweed. So despite the sushi tasting decent I’m being generous by giving one star. I paid $25. It definitely was not worth it.

Really quiet hole in the wall. The sushi was really good. Spotted the chef eating while at the sushi bar, which felt out of place. The service was nice though. The true disappointment was in the “frozen” fried cheesecake.

Was very disappointed, came here for my mom’s birthday and to my surprise there was no hibachi which is not stated on their website or even a sign outside. So we decided we would stay and eat. There was multiple problems with the order. The menu is not up to date and there is thongs that are stated on the menu that they say are no longer included. The waitress also made it sound like it was out fault for wanting the noodles and rice with our hibachi like it is stated on the menu. On top of that the waitress was on her phone most of the time and didn’t care to refill our drinks or take away dirty plates. Also there is an automatic 18% gratuity on top of your bill. So the waitress can be rude and not have a care and still get tipped. Awful and will never be back. Me and my family have come here for over a decade and to hunans for generations. This left a bad taste in my mouth after having great service fir all those years…
