This review is long overdue. In my opinion this is the quintessential pizzeria and hands down the best food in the area. They have an vast selection of specialty pies and are generous on the toppings. The other food options are amazing as well. Fresh made arancini, garlic knots, and stuffed rolls. The alla vodka sauce is arguably the best I’ve had. The owners Dennis and Artie are always accommodating and helpful. They have catered two events for my family and the guest all raved about the food. I’m lucky to have such a quality establishment so close to home. Thanks guys.

Omg the food is amazing & servers so nice & professional! Loved it. We go all the time or order To Go. One thing that I really love is I don’t feel bloated the next day. They must be making their food traditional Italian style and using high quality ingredients or not using highly processed short cuts because I have a lot of little health issues with pasta and breads but not here. I ordered a big plate of pasta and marinara and was fine!

We come here often and their pizza used to be thicker and had more flavor. Over the past few weeks the pizza has become thinner and thinner which is ridiculous for the cost they charge. It may be time to move onto another place.

Great pizza, not just slabs of Dow covered with cheap cheese where every variety you buy basically tastes the same. No, it’s actual pizza with different flavors and textures. Great service too.

Tried this establishment 3 times, gave it 3 chances. The owner or manager needs anger management. Very very rude. The way he talked to me was uncalled for! I will never return. I feel bad for his staff, if he talks to his customers that way imagine the staff.

Gino’s is relatively new to Sandy Hook but it does not disappoint! Our family has made it our official place to order pizza. The prices are competitive with neighboring pizza joints but the taste of the fresh ingredients blows the other restaurants away. The sauce is very garlicky with a little pucker from the tomatoes. We never leave without an order (or two) of garlic knots. The arancini is also worth a try and the calamari hits the spot. I’ve only tried one salad (antipasto) and wasn’t worth ordering again. Their meatball parma and calzones are also delicious.

My wife and I are Sandy Hook locals and we have done two take out orders here. She did the Caeser salad with grilled chicken and I did spaghetti with meat sauce. It is absolutely ridiculous how good they both tasted. Better than any Italian restaurant within 100 miles.
