For a quick bite, I’ll recommend it. However, it wasn’t the best pizza, but I can say the wings save the overall scoring. I got the special large pizza with wings, and it was about $40. A little over price for a one typing pizza. Wasn’t nothing special, I wish the pizza had more flavor. Maybe some oregano or pepper flake will save it. The Buffalo wings were excellent, and spice level , taste, and flavor were all there. Highly recommend. I gave service a 3 star because in the middle of ordering my pizza, the worker walked away to assist with a to go order, I personally feel that person could have waited because I was in the middle of ordering, yes he apologized but if he did one thing at a time It wouldn’t have upset me. I think a restaurant that ignores the in-house diners and focuses on going out orders. Makes me feel as if I’m not of value. Overall, if you need pizza, give them a try

It was 12 am and I was looking for some food. All of a sudden an oasis appeared: Gilroy’s. Is it the best pizza? Probably not. But, look, this is not a place you judge largely for its quality of pizza. It’s open til 3 am, located conveniently downtown, and has a wide range of options. I feel bad for docking a star but that’s mainly because of the price. I’m not update to date on the pizza market in Charleston (mainly because I was visiting) but $16 for a small seems a bit excessive. Still, I suppose when it’s 1 am and you want pizza, price is largely a non-factor.

We purchased the double burger small pizza. It was like buying a frozen pizza out of Piggly Wiggly’s. Which is ok when you want frozen pizza. Not worth the $17 for 4 slices. Atmosphere was dingy. Waiter was pleasant.

First time visiting! I stopped by after the performance I attended at the Gaillard Center. The Google search said it was a local longstanding favorite. A handful of tables and an eclectic license plate wall is a focal point. I love pizza and this was average. I understand they may cater to the college kids but I’ve had better in other college towns. It was a little pricey for a one topping 12″; about $17 with tax. I will say it tasted better once warmed up in my hotel room so ‍♀️ Maybe I need to try again if I come back that way.

The pizza is mid and the wings are fried super hard and leaves the wings so dry they taste like Sheetrock but the atmosphere of the dine in was top tier everyone is super friendly but the food is kinda gross

Ordered online. Went up there to pay and pick up about 30 minutes later. The guy at the counter took our card, we signed for tip and verified our name. My wife noticed a bag sitting on top of the oven but didn’t give it much thought because there were a few people in there already. We sat beside the counter waiting on our food for another 30 minutes before I said something to the guy who took our card. He was like “nobody gave you your food?”. He went and grabbed the bag over the oven. I told him it was up there when we walked in. He asked when we walked in. “30 minutes ago, and you took our money and verified our name.”

After a long drive through 3 states and settling in at the old Francis Marion, we walked down king street looking for a place to eat. After passing many establishments, receiving poor to little service and dirty tables, we came upon Gilroys. I wasn’t thrilled about eating pizza, but this place changed that and didn’t fail. Probably one of the best pizzas I’ve eaten on the west coast, hands down. Great crust and sauce, plus just the right amount of cheese. Cool atmosphere. Appeared family owned and extremely friendly. Will definitely come back and recommend. Thanks again!
