INSIDER TIP: You have to call to see if this place is open because they have special pop up openings with secret menus. I was fortunate enough to catch it open on a Sunday and was amazed at what my wife and I enjoyed. From the perfectly crafted peach lemonade and the oh so tasty Johnny Cash all the way to the fried mambo chicken with calypso rice , sirloin kabobs with Mac and cheese and let’s not forget the peach cobbler. Now this review is long already and I haven’t even gotten to the superb family feeling you have while dining here. Service was prompt and professional and we even got to meet the chef. Thumbs up all around.

I was invited to attend a networking mixer hosted by YPN Urban League at Gigi’s music cafe’. This place is a cute hideaway that will get you in the mood to vibe after a long day. With their wine based cocktails you can get a well balanced drink without breaking the bank. The theme matches the name and highlights the classic Jazz and R&B legends we know and love. They provided preprepared light bites for the event and didn’t offer the option to purchase from there menu.

The taste of the food was very disappointing. They need to hire my mother and sister to run the kitchen. This place has a lot of potential, but they need a true soul food chef to make it come alive. My family could have this placed packed with people 24 hours a day. Gigi’s just needs better tasting food

Came long time ago (I think before the pandemic). Visited again recently. This restaurant has some good entertainment nights with bands and poetry open mic nights. The entertainment is the allure. The drinks at the bar are good. Food service is a little slow, but they can’t be good at everything. Restaurant is clean. It seems like they have a lot of regulars. A lot of people seemed to know each other. It’s a little lonely for a newcomer, though.

Lovely experience with great people and the voices. The Bartender can Sing Sannnnnnnggg is the proper word. Great crowd I can’t sing but there were many in my party that could lol. The host was great and she didn’t need the words and sang along too which is helpful lol. Had a wonderful experience good and drinks were good and it’s picture worthy background.

It was absolutely beautiful. The ambiance and soft music was in addition to a BOMB MEAL! The macaroni bites were amazing, shrimp and grits/ collards and a Mojito to cap it off! I was fortunate enough to meet the owner Gigi was was exceptionally pleasant. It was a five star experience.

First time experience. Came with my mom who had been and raved about the crispy greens. I didn’t understand but it was the garnish around the soul rolls she really enjoyed. Ok. The rolls were better than the garnish in my opinion. She didn’t think they tasted the same as the first few times she had them. Get the sauce on the side is my suggestion. I ordered the lemon pepper wings and the veggie platter. Wish I’d taken pics. All good and tasty. The signature (key lime?) wine I wasn’t too fond of but I drank it. Next time I’ll try something else. Atmosphere was cozy. We were there just before a stepping dance event was to begin. There is a cover charge for that I feel should be docked from you bill if you are dining in. We weren’t charged, I’m just saying. Next time I’m in the area I will come again.
