My mom and I stopped in Blackstone for a quick bite. Figured sandwiches for lunch sounded good. Walked by Get Real Sandwiches and thought “we’ll give this place a try!” Oh my gosh……the food was AMAZING!! I ordered the poutine fries for us to split…10/10. I got their Italian meats sandwich while mom chose the smoked pulled pork sandwich. Both were incredible, we could only eat half of the sandwiches! The lady behind the counter was super friendly and when she dropped our sandwiches off, found out she is the owner! She was super nice, the food and atmosphere are amazing as well! I work in the area and will definitely be eating here on a regular basis!

Great food! From someone who struggles with finding consistently high-quality food from restaurants in Omaha, I can genuinely say everything I’ve tried here is delicious. The house fries are phenomenal. The BBQ sandwich, roasted turkey, and smoked chicken are all great options!

I had not 1 but 2, 10/10 sandwiches from “Get Real Sandwiches”. This one happened to be an Italian meats, genoa salami, capicola, ham, provolone, giardiniera relish, pesto, greens, aioli, ciabatta and lemme tell you Hwat! I had the excitement of a long awaited gift as they took my order. Disappearing in the back goes the master of sandwiches. I pretended to not notice the smells of sandwichy lust that filled the air. Sitting at my table labeled #5 displayed at the front I felt it to be the appropriate table as it reminded me of mambo #5 and I plan on tasting each and every sandwich there. Alas the sandwich arrive. The caregiver of the tray acting as if it’s no big deal that he was handling gods creation. The first bite. The burst of flavor hit every last endorphin I had to spare from a hard days work. The crunch yet soft bread, the fresh meats that taste as if my mother made a special trip to the grocery store for. The veggies… Oh the veggies! Fresh, clean, green. Paired with a roasted carrot soup topped with baby sprouts. I feel as if a famous crude lonely island said it the best.

I love a great sandwich and sandwich shop. This place was full of disappointment. Ordered the smoked pulled pork sandwich. Was not great. The cabbage slaw was ok, the pickled onion i didn’t feel was a good addition, left a very bitter taste. The bun was cold on the bottom, making the sandwich cold. The house bbq sauce was ok. And the fries were too heavily salted. The pork lacked any sort of smoked flavor, let alone any other flavor.

I really enjoyed this place. It was super clean with a relaxed welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. A gourmet yet causal sandwich shop in Blackstone. Went for the second time today, and after remembering it fondly the first time and being blown away this morning – decided I had to leave a review. The Jaco Pesto Rius breakfast sandwich is incredible. The amount of sausage is generous, the red pepper sauce very flavorful but the pesto…. Is so. Freaking. Good. The bread was toasted perfectly, and my boyfriend and I, who are not light eaters, could have shared just one sandwich. Come here for brunch, or lunch, or dinner! I definitely want to try more of their menu now.

Great new spot in Blackstone! This is a great addition to the area – such a simple menu with a variety of options. A quick casual spot to grab a good sandwich and a drink. They have beer and wine as well as cocktails! There is also a water station where you can keep refilling your water cup – best addition to any casual restaurant.

We came here on our trip to Colorado. We loved it so much we came back on our way home. Cannot recommend this place enough. We all stuck with the classic grilled cheese and tomato soup but they could not have been more flavorful and delicious. On top of this, we had speedy service and an extremely friendly staff.
