I came by at 10am and they were absolutely slammed. Some dude on Instagram said they had great carne guisada and they do. I like that they have mixed cheese- both Colby Jack and processed. The puffy taco was hot and fresh – solid choice. They brought me cheese for the guisada. That was very good and more savory than other places. I liked the sweet tea. A humble place with good food.

This restaurant has top tier Mexican food! Ordered the migas plate topped with salsa and cheese and it tasted delicious. Our waitress was very helpful and kind. Wonderful atmosphere and the tortillas were made fresh. I hope to return to this restaurant and try their special tacos soon! ❤ Below are pictures of the updated menu. 10/10, would recommend!

When someone told me that they have a taco called the “Tubby” I knew I had to try it. Eggs mexicana with carne asada and cheese. Delicious! And of course it’s mandatory to try the bean and cheese anywhere that I go for the first time. Cashier asked if I wanted it “toasted” so I tried that. Great way to have a taco with a charred, crispy flour tortilla. Green sauce was solid.

Well I picked up an order to go. Get home to find they forgot the meat. So I called and talked to the owner he tells me to bring them back. I’m not driving 30 minutes to bring them back then drive home again and I see I’m missing 2 other tacos. Very dissatisfied with this customer service I’ve been giving this establishment my business for 10 plus years and this is how I’m treated. The owner says with out taking him the tacos there is nothing he can do because anyone can call and complain. He’s not in the business of giving away tacos. I offered to send him the pics. He didn’t respond so I just left it at that.

Oh man , I almost forgot about this place. Since the pandemic I haven’t been here. The food is still great and so delicious. I miss the Gina taco. They’re always friendly. Feels like home. Miss those rib tacos though !!!

Omg this is definitely one of the best taco places in San Antonio. The service and food are excellent!! Highly recommend the Ralph taco. I have been thinking of the taco I ate all damn day. Can’t wait to go back. Be sure to order your tacos toasted and ask to melt the cheese
