My food was so good I had to come to write a review. I will definitely be returning. Ordered spaghetti and meatballs and got garlic bread. A 10/10. My coworkers and I plan to order in the near future it was that good. Definitely try it!

We were in town this past weekend for the Pink concert and stopped in for a quick lunch on Saturday. I was skeptical walking in but everyone was “hangry” so I caved. So glad I did….the food completely exceeded our expectations. The pizza was amazing, my fiancé loved his burger, and my Mediterranean hoagie was truly the best I have ever had. I am vegan and, more often than not, someone messes up my order but not this time! My granddaughter’s slice of pizza was missed but, when she asked about it, she was rewarded with an entire small pizza. Such kindness and excellent customer service! Wish you could be in Rochester…..you would have me and my family as steady customers! Thank you! I don’t normally write good reviews for restaurants but I couldn’t pass this gem by.

I have been going to Gennaro’s pizza for the past 7 yrs. I almost always order the chicken ranchero hoagie w extra meat. It used to be my favorite thing to eat in the southside. I would order twice a week at times. The hoagie used to come with big chunks of chicken and they used to put plenty of it on especially when I ordered it with extra meat. Sometime during covid they started completely skimping on the quantity of chicken on the hoagie and if I would ask for extra chicken like usual they would just chop it up into smaller pieces and not put any extra Chicken on the hoagie they just put more fries on instead. And it then becomes basically just a carbohydrate bomb. They took advantage of my business and maybe they were upset that I was ordering too much and felt like they were losing money or something I don’t know but they changed their bread also which now becomes super dry when baked Cuts your mouth when eating it. I gave these guys so much money over the years and they rewarded Me by skimping on my hoagie. I would tip them well and everything these guys just don’t value customer service or their customers in general. I would recommend going to slice on Broadway everyday of the week I won’t be eating at Gennaro’s again.

Ordered the chicken hoagie. They didn’t bother to bring my food out, I had to ask for it. The fries were soggy. The bread on the sandwich was burnt and way too hard. Worst $20 ever spent. Never again.

Order was wrong occasionally a fee times but usually right and great. I wish the driver would always bring a pen and the receipt for a tip when I pay with card. I almost always order extra cheese and extra sauce and its amazing.

Literally the best pizza place by far in so many ways. The pizza is so good and it’s always my go-to when I’m in the mood for pizza. Doesn’t matter if I just finished a night out in south side or if we’re staying in for a self-care night. Not only is it AMAZING tasting pizza, but the service there is actually incredible. Artur was incredibly kind and accommodating and makes you feel very welcome. I have never had a bad experience at Gennaros. 10/10!

Paid an $9 tip plus delivery fee to order food 7 blocks from the restaurant and GRUBHUB delivery driver Ali couldn’t deliver to the door…he’d rather wait 10minutes for me to come downstairs. And got the the wrong sauce. Food delivery is too expensive for the hassle!!!
