Just ate here and we loved the service! Huge portions and the waitresses were lovely. They shared places to visit in the area and what were the best dishes to order.

Disappointing. It’s likely the lack of customers was due to the aftermath of Covid. The pizza was horrible. Heated some up at home, I’ve never seen so much slick grease or low quality cheese. Not even sure how much was cheese. The food used to be excellent. Won’t be going back ever! Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive.

Recently my 3 cousins and I had lunch at Gennaros. It was a wonderful experience. Our waitress was very pleasant and efficient. She brought bread to the table and a few minutes later she served us hot Popovers right from the oven. Crispy brown on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. What a tasty treat. My favorite meal is no longer on the menu, but the waitress had them make the dish anyway. The food came out from the kitchen hot and steamy, enough for 2 servings. And all were delicious. We sat there gabbing for almost 3 hours, nobody bothered us. Jerry did come by to make sure we were OK, and we decided to have dessert. The rum cake was delicious, the cannoli the best ever, according to my cousin Barbara, my other 2 cousins had chocolate trifle and raved, in between mouthfuls of creamy pudding. We get together once a month for lunch and have been in many different restaurants over the years, but Gennaros tops them all. Truly a great restaurant! ❤

Quick summary– basic Italian food was mediocre at best or inedible.

Food was hot and delicious! Featured is veal piccata, bacon bomb pizza and the most gorgeous salad I’ve ever seen. Everything was so good! Fresh, hot coffee and a slice of rum cake followed for dessert. Wonderful birthday meal! Thanks to Gennaro’s for making it special!!! We’ve never been disappointed eating at this fine establishment.

I used them every Easter. Excellent customer service, excellent food. One of the best pizzagaina in the South Shore. Excellent St. Joseph’s. And they always strive to make your experience a positive one. They even gave my son a cookie. Can’t say enough good.

A very busy neighborhood restaurant. The chicken, broccoli and rigatoni was very tasty and it was a generous portion, however, there was very little broccoli and it was undercooked. Rigatoni was a poor choice for the pasta as it is very big. Half size rigatoni would have been better. And the was not quite enough alfredo sauce. The veal parmigian was very good and also a good size portion. The tortellini was also very good.
