This place is Amazing! Oysters were so juicy and salty no other place we ate oysters at can even compare. We had their mini platter that all the stuff you want, fish, shrimp, oysters and a side, we had okra. Staff was super special, very nice.

We visited Gene’s a while back, around 11/2019, when my son took a class in Panama City. Without a doubt the best oyster bar I have ever been to. The people were very helpful and friendly. Along with oysters, I had Grouper Throat, that was absolutely great.

Genes oyster bar is definitely one of many local known old school oyster bars for having high quality oysters and seafood. Remember cash or check only. No debt cards! This is an original 1940’s oyster bar and is not a modern day restaurant. Gene’s oyster bar has a small seafood menu with excellent choices. Seating and parking can be limited during peak hours. The atmosphere is an original oyster bar from the 1940’s oyster bar established by Hiram Conrad.
