This is some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. The hand pulled noodles are so incredibly good. The noodles are very long, and you’re going to slurp, so don’t wear your best shirt 🙂 we ordered everything extra spicy.

The lamb skewers were the most delicious part! Along with the skewers we go the hot and sour and cumin lamb noodles. Both dishes were great, nice thick pulled noodles always hit the spot. I like that it was a little less oily than most Xi’an style dishes, but still packed with lots of flavor. Highly recommend!

great hand pulled noodles as usual. i hadn’t been there since the pandemic so i was surprised to discover that they have tablets set up for ordering in lieu of having to speak to anyone. gotta say that the tablets not only made credit card purchases possible (they were cash-only before) but it made the ordering so much easier and no doubt improved the accuracy of order fulfillment. as a bonus, it surfaced some options (like extra noodles!) i wasn’t aware of before.

Long-time fans since their first appearance in Chelmsford, but our first visit in years. Happy to say they’ve maintained their quality and that the food is still excellent.

I absolutely love Gene’s Chinese Flatbread Cafe! The food is delicious and the service is top-notch. Every time I go, I’m greeted with a warm welcome and the staff is always so friendly. The menu has a great variety of dishes to choose from, and the flavors are always spot on. I especially love their beef house noodles soup, it’s always cooked to perfection. The prices are also reasonable for the quality of food you get. I highly recommend Gene’s Chinese Flatbread Cafe for anyone looking for an amazing Chinese food experience. 5 stars!

Honestly I thought it was okay.. The spiciest level isn’t spicy so it’s totally okay to try out. I hope in the future they can add more spice levels! I got the cumin lamb hand pulled noodles and the hot and sour dumpling soup, and I think the pork with the hand pulled noodles would’ve been a better choice than the lamb. The saltiness of the pork helps with the greasiness of the noodles (which were thick and amazing). I think it also helps the flavor as well because the noodles on its own was a bit bland. The lamb didn’t really do much for me, and The dumplings were alright. However, the owner was super sweet and helpful! They have different methods of payment for cash and card users. Quick service too. Of course, everyone has different tastes! But I believe with small flavor improvements this could’ve been spot on. xx

Great food! Glad I gave this place a try. Lots of choices and inexpensive. Truly authentic! It’s not the normal Cantonese style cooking everyone is used too, but you should give this a shot. Simply delicious!

This far east, it’s hard to find Xi’an food that is THIS authentic. I mean, it’s almost literally from the other side of the world.

The sandwiches are juicy, greasy, and so tasty. Noodles are thick and chewy and everything tastes amazing. Awesome stuff.

Very average restaurant, especially comparing to Xi’an Famous food in NYC. The noodle was much thicker and it was kind of bland. The meat sandwich was so oily. My hands felt like dipping into a oil jar.
