Get anything else but a salad here. The lettuce used in my salad was not fresh. I wonder if they would eat the salad they sold to me because I know damm well they wouldn’t. They didn’t even bother to cut the tomato, lettuce, and cucumber into portions that would fit in your mouth. Such a disappointment!

This place is very, very delicious. Definitely a must go to if you’re in town we were very hungry and the food is very delicious that I forgot to take any pictures. The only thing I recommend staying away from is the fried zucchini no good but I highly recommend the western burger.

I used to love coming to generals I’m not from shafter so every time I would go to shafter that would be the one place I would look forward to going but not anymore. Firstly whenever you call in to make an order they always answer being rude without even talked first there’s no hospitality. And lastly in my person experience they have been skimping out on portions I like to order chicken strips for my daughter and they used to give like 4 good pieces but now we only get 3 tiny pieces which is so little and cold fries as well. On top of that whenever I get a drink from there it’s almost as if they like to fill my cup to the top with ice so I don’t even get that much if my drink either. I’m just really disappointed because before this place used to do it all and now unfortunately it does not anymore.

Ordered the Ortega Burger with cheese, and it was cooked perfectly. My buddy ordered the Pastrami, and he really enjoyed it. Off the beaten track for me, but I will definitely be back.

Burger was mashed into a pile between the counter and the table. Somehow, still had onions and pickles on it . Otherwise-Tasted good. Rootbeer float was great. Mushrooms were fine. Onion rings were good but oily.

An old fashioned wonderful hamburger joint on Lerdo hwy in Shafter Ca. Family ran, outstanding, friendly staff. Been coming here for years. Always a great meal, served hot and fresh no matter what you order. Highly recommended.
