Wow, phenomenal dinner. We’ve been meaning to try this place for months, and I’m so glad we did. It’s high end Mexican cuisine like you rarely see outside of Mexico, and is done kind of as a tasting menu. Outstanding drinks, service, food, and ambiance. I don’t think people in San Clemente really know about this place, but I’ll be spreading the word. I would recommend getting one of each course per couple.

The menu is very interesting. The Chile relleno was amazing and the ceviche was also very good. Unfortunately, my sea bass was very undercooked. The Mexican wine list is impressive but the least expensive red is $70 which I think is a little steep. I also did not appreciate the extra service charge that so many restaurants are tacking these days.

Stopped by for drinks. Restaurant is beautiful. Staff is very attentive. If you are into tequila this is the place to go!

Pretty place, excellent service, high prices, small menu. Very pretentious. First thing waitress said is unless you have a food allergy the chef does no changes. The menu is the menu. Actually a very hard menu to read do to the font. More like hieroglyphs. All the food was cooked properly which was impressive as my duck piece must have been tricky as it was so thin. Smothered with a delicious mole sauce that needed to be scraped off.Big plate, little portion but pretty to look at. Not my kind of place…pretentious.Left hungry.

Great experience and food. I sat at the two seater on the patio and for about $26 ordered a Santa Monics DIPA, the Flautas, and a Borracha Taco. The chips and salsa were tasty, the salsa not super spicy but just right for my taste. The staff were great, I will be going back.

Came here with two other friends . Restaurant has an amazing atmosphere, upscale setting , amazing lighting and decor . Service and hospitality were 2nd to none , you get the treatment of southern fine dining , with the coolness of Southern California .

The staff is friendly. We were surprised that the kitchen would not substitute any of the sides or make a change to any of the dishes. The kitchen does not accommodate when there are allergies… absolutely no substitutions. My mom cannot eat cheese and asked to do a side substitution with the potatoes but was told no substitution’s even though everything is made upon order. Because of this she couldn’t order the steak. Then to top it off we were charged a 3% kitchen fee… that wasn’t shared with us and not part of the tip. We spoke to the owner but she communicated the same thing. We won’t be back.

We ate the calamari, chile relleno, bronzino, birra, broccoli and the wagyu steak. We enjoyed the calamari and the branzino. The chile relleno and the birra were ok… Nothing special.. the broccoli and steak were over sauced and seasoned. I don’t think the steak was wagyu.. not marbled, and tough, chewy, sinui.. the staff is very nice.

I love the place, but they just need a boost of confidence. At times I feel the flow has not been captured. Is it casual? But damn everyone is on point like 5 stars!!! But do I ask or will it be offered?

This is an upscale, modern Mexican restaurant. It was an amazing meal with amazing staff. The chef came out to our table and talked to us about the cuisine. The selection of mezcal, tequila and wine was great. Each phase of the meal was favored perfectly as well as perfectly portioned. You will definitely want to make a reservation on the weekend or try to sneak in early one of the other nights. Great atmosphere for dinners with friends. Take the time to head out. Worth every penny!
