The Loop offers plenty of dining options but for a quick and mostly homemade lunch or snack, check out Gayle V’s best ever grilled cheese located in The Pedway. The classic Mac is so good, Mac and cheese wedges into The classic grilled cheese (fresh sourdough). Such cheesy goodness. And try The Jake, it’s Gouda, ham and apple butter. Savory and sweet, a perfect balanced Sammie. Want a little something more, you gotta try the tomato pesto soup. Not from a can, all homemade.

I used to like this place, but the service leaves something to be desired. They have unusually long wait times for something as simple as grilled cheese sandwiches. I was recently there and ordered food to go and I noticed my order taking longer than normal. I sat there patiently and started to get concerned because they weren’t busy.

When they said “best grilled chese”, I thought that was impossible. They definitely proved me wrong. I just had a Classic grilled chese and it was the best I have ever had! I would highly recommend this place to everyone! We had a group of 14 and the service was fantastic! Everyone said it was the best grilled chese they had ever eaten! I would have taken more pictures of my sandwich but it was gone very quickly.

Hidden gem! Not easily seen from outdoors, but go underground in the mall toward the red line metro station and you’ll find it. Excellent service, amazing sandwiches and very nice atmosphere. 100% recommended.

Open space. Bright atmosphere. Friendly staff. Convenient location. They have a simple and tasty menu. A few grilled cheese options, but they are all delicious. Pairing it with the tomato soup is a must. The staff was very friendly and helped me with the menu. I ordered the grill cheese and tomato soup with a black cherry soda. They brought my meal to me when it was ready. The grilled cheese was Perfect. I wish I went downtown more often, because I love it here.

To elaborate on my 5 star review, this place has a wonderfully calming atmosphere, kind staff and AMAZING food. Always my go to stop on my way from the blue line to red line. This is by far one of my favorite grilled cheese/tomato soup combos!

I had been walking pass Gayle’s for almost a month and decided to stop in. The service was good and the place is clean and very nice. However, for a $9 grilled cheese, I expected more. The sandwich was barely grilled, cheese was cold and it took forever to chew. Didn’t care for it, had better at Dunkin.

I didn’t realize today was National Grill Cheese Day and what a blessing I received with every sandwich purchase you when a gift and wait for it I won a “To Go Bag” with all the trimmings to make one of Gayles Great Good Chessyumtous sandwiches at home!!! I believe it was actually Gayle that came out and explained how to prepare the sandwiches at home I was so caught off guard I didn’t even ask.

This is indeed the “Best Ever Grilled Cheese.” Awesome staff, local soda, and homemade ingredients all make Gayle’s awesome, but those take a backseat to the AMAZING sandwiches. I loved my food, worth every penny. I wish they had a location where I live in Colorado!
