Excellent ultra thin crust pizza! We were Visiting the capital city from Maryland and wanted pizza . The location was a little suspect in an almost abandoned mall however the ultra thin crust meat lovers and Hawaiian pizzas were perfect. I wish we had a gators pizza- I am sure the locals are well aware and in my opinion lucky

These pizzas are really good. I got a super thin crust Hawaiian. So good. We also had the GF pepperoni and you couldn’t tell it was GF. Amazing.

Gators Pizza is located inside the center of the mall in Pierre. They have a large variety of food to choose from and are full of flavor. Even during peak times of service; food output was incredibly fast without sacrifice of quality. To see the owner interacting with customers is a pleasant twist to see in this day and age; I wish I saw this more often in other restaurants. The area is filled with a good positive and energetic energy and I can see that the employees enjoy what they do here. Location is very clean and table clean up during peak times is also fast. They have SD video lottery in the back and they also sell beer here. Prices are pretty fair for the quality of the food you get; for a large 3 topping pizza, 2 monsters, and breadsticks cost around $30. If you are in Pierre and want some good pizza, salads, and soups; check this place out.

Holy cow! Super friendly and accommodating. We had ordered a large pizza and they helped us out by giving us 2 mediums when they ran out of large pizzas rather than bringing us through a hasle of trying to get money refunded or figuring something else out. Amazing work and extremely appreciated the gesture. Will definitely be returning more in the future!

I don’t ever leave a review. But this needs it, worst experience ever. We went into Gators and waited behind two people standing at the counter, one guy just standing there and one lady must have been picking up a gift certificate or something. A young boy came to the counter and helped the older man and then walked away, came back and some lady’s that literally just walked in and started looking at the menu he helped them after having to see us standing there for a good 5 minutes… okay, so we ordered one small pizza came to $18 and some change, my boyfriend gave her a $20 and told her to keep the change then stuck a $5 in the tip jar, asked how long it would take, she said 15 minutes so we walked around the mall for probably 5 minutes before sitting at a booth…. 32 minutes went by before I decided to go ask about our pizza…. the young boy came back out saying “sorry, it was sitting on top of the oven”… so I took it to our table, in a box, and opened the box to luke warm at best…. went up and asked for our money back and not even an apology from the lady who was supposedly the owner, that I knew wasn’t. No apology from her and not even a refund for the full amount we paid, got $16 and some change back…. I don’t recommend Gators what so ever. Customer service is the worst in town.

The owner is a loudmouth that loves to spew his nonsense all over social media but the pizza is passable considering there really are no other options. If there were competition in this town for pizza, I probably wouldn’t give this place a second thought. There’s not, however. So it’s this, or a chain pizza place.
