It’s honestly an awkward set up, and it doesn’t have set hours. I got some alcapurias and chicken empanadillas and they had ZERO flavor. I had to use ketchup on both, but the ketchup didn’t help the chicken empanadilla. That was just really gross.

I almost never give 5 stars, as there is always room for improvement. However, Garo’s is amazing. They are polite and the food is fantastic. This is the second time eating there for me but the first time for my wife. She’s in love. Best empanadas ever!

Staff was great, very pleasant. I was very eager to enjoy some good Spanish food, especially rice n beans. I will begin with the positive, good prices, the tostones were perfect. Made fresh, nice n crispy, just how they taste when I make them. Restaurant was very hot, no AC inside, I feel really bad for the staff and I definitely would not want to eat there in the summer. Not a deal breaker though, this is more of a take out joint. Unfortunately, the rest of my meal did not taste fresh. The rice tasted old, had clearly been made a while ago and just heated in the microwave. The BBQ ribs were similar. Tasted a bit old, thrown into the microwave, not heated all the way through. I’ve eaten and cooked lots of Spanish food, so I am familiar with how it tastes when it’s made fresh. We also had a burrito, which was huge, and although I didn’t taste it, my daughter said it was good. If they could improve the freshness of their food, this place would be a nice little spot. Fix these issues and I’d definitely come back.

I won’t comment on the atmosphere but I don’t go to a restaurant for the atmosphere I go for the food. The food was very good, we went for lunch the portions were just right almost to much. I especially liked the rice & beans. I had the onion cube steak & would definitely recommend it.

went in the middle of the day and was the only person there. watched them microwave my food before trying to present it as “fresh”. tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but the food had no flavor, and tasted old. won’t be returning.
