Ordered their birria through doordash yesterday. Completely inedible. The “meat” was mostly just bones. You can see the huge pile of just bones in the pictures. Even splinted bone shards right on top of the rice too so I didn’t even risk it. Also tons of burnt meat too. The tiny bit that was left over was super tough. I didn’t end up eating anything before work because I ran out of time.

I had the best quesabirria ever from here a year ago and was stuck on getting some more so I bragged to my friends that they had the best ones and we ordered for take out and they said 10 minutes so we came to pick up our order and the homemade tortillas were so burnt and the meat was old and stuck to the taco and it was thrown in very messy way , the consume was good like the last time. It was just the tacos that were so bad I didn’t eat them I made boyfriend eat them I also ordered a torta that was plain and had burnt buns I was very embarrassed and disappointed with this order and I thought about bringing it back in and complaining but I didn’t have time so here I am giving my old favorite restaurant a two star review this was just the last straw.

I had the huaraches con nopales and was impressed by the quality of the food (nopales were perfectly cooked; beans & rice were flavorful) and generous portion sizes. Will be returning next time I’m in West MI.

Garibaldi has some of the best, most authentic Mexican food in Grand Rapids! I’ve been going here for years, and I am never disappointed. My favorites include the quesabirria tacos, menudo, tacos (better quality than Tacos El Cuñado!) —any of their platters are great. Prices are fair. I can’t recommend it enough!

I went here for lunch with a friend, and the food was great. The place seems to stay busy, so although it’s pretty bare bones you can tell people know the food is worth it. I ordered four tacos and a bottle of Mundet apple soda. I got al pastor pork and beef tongue (lengua) for my tacos, and it tasted great. There was a side of grilled green onions, and the taco sauces were delicious. I think the tortillas were handmade too, and they were both flavorful and managed to hold up to the generous fillings. I’ll definitely go back again to try their other menu items and also to explore the store next door.

i ordered the birria tacos but they weren’t fried, just served on plain tortillas and the consume was basically half grease. good tasting taco, just not birria like i had ordered. rice is good but greasy as well
