I think this region of eastern North Carolina doesn’t get enough recognition about how we prepare our greens. It is the only place in America I’ve seen that prepares greens like this and it’s always great to come home to taste. I also had the sweet potato jack and that was awesome.

Wonderful BBQ sandwich. Great barbecue flavor and super juicy without much of a vinegar sauce, which can be hard to do. I love a good ENC vinegar based sauce but this sandwich didn’t need it! Such a nice natural BBQ pork taste. Cole slaw is absolutely a winner. I’ll be continuing my BBQ sandwich tour across the east but will definitely stop here again.

I went out of town for two days this week and my friend that tagged along keep nagging me about a restaurant she loved in Rocky Mount, NC. I asked people, Google it for her and Walla! We found Gardner’s Restaurant. The food was yummy, well seasoned and the staff was friendly. You better go there if you are on ur way to Raleigh or the surrounding cities, – you definitely won’t be disappointed!!!

Absolutely amazing service! We were ordering for 8 people on Mother’s Day. We started to order online but we were told it would be a one hour wait before we could pick up our food. While we were ordering $80 worth of food, we felt like it shouldn’t take that long to get it so we decided to just drive up there & order (we were right around the corner). Best decision!

There were lots of flies moving through the dining area as we waited for our order. We had purchased a “family meal” in the neighborhood of $45.00 and received what looked to be about $20.00 worth of food. Lastly, their coleslaw is yellow. We won’t be back.

We stopped in on our way back from OBX. Awesome! Great southern bbq that tastes like it was made with care. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. Every side item we got was out of this world… and all the main items were stellar as well! Highly recommended! Be sure to get some chicken and pork!

The Flagship location is always a long wait and I can understand bcos the other 2 locations are horrible. Sunset never get your order right. I ordered dark meat but no thigh so i was told the extra leg would be an extra charge. I said okay. The employee came out saying combo with two legs and when i get home i got a leg quarter. You must and got to check your orders even when they yell out what you think you have. Customers eating in are complaining of too much salt overcooked food. They were out of towners that use to live here. The Fairview area smell sour over the burnt grease smell. The carpet in the dining area is nasty and smells. Who has carpet in the dining area with grease spots and stains. Cleanliness is next to Godliness. Even on Sundays after church they might have 2 cars. Please send some help from the Flagship location to get it together. Y’all need to take care of these locations bcos the community need good service in their neighborhood instead of driving way cross town to be met with long wait times or just give up on them

Sour employees. Couldn’t get my order right & when I asked if my order could be corrected I was told I had to order at the speaker again or go n the restaurant. Went in the restaurant & one of the employees stood behind the wall making ignorant remarks and laughing about my issue instead of fixing the problem. The employees need to learn how to conduct business, the disrespect was at an all time high.
