I took my Mom here at 5 pm on a Wednesday evening. It was slow and quiet, great for catching up. The coffee was delicious and the pre-meal rolls were soft and warm.

No meaty flesh with the cod…looked more like tilapia…very dry…WAY TOO SPICY seasoning. Broccoli dry and flavorless. Rice…is that Uncle Ben’s microwaveable pouches? Also…nice touch with the King’s Hawaiian Sweet Roll straight from the package… Terrible, terrible food. For the prices being charged, there should have been a chef touch of some sort…there was not…people buy the same quality in a package at the local Walmart. I won’t go back. $106 for 3 people, and for 1/5 of that, you can get exactly the same quality from the grocer.

Service was great. Wings were small, over cooked and over sauced. Beet salad wasn’t good. Steak nacho app wasn’t good either. Didn’t match the description and chips were soggy. Steak sand-which was ok. Was expecting better food for an upscale place..really wanted this place to be good! Been here a few times but keeps disappointing.

All I gotta say is don’t even bother. My wife and I eat out a lot and this place by far is the worst place we have ever eaten. Food tasted old, fries reheated, cream soups and pasta had a grittiness to them. Serves was poor, when you are one of just a few tables and it takes a good 10 minutes to get a sauce you requested. Prices definitely do not match the quality of the food. When our server asked how everything was we did let her know the cream soups and pasta were gritty, fries were clearly reheated and the burger tasted old. She said she had seen the cook make everything and those were not the normal fries. Not once did she get a manager to talk to us or suggest anything to make the visit better. Immediately after arriving home family that were with us become ill enough that they threw up in the grass and others were sick through the night. Sad that the inside decor did not match the food and service. It is a big pass for me and should be for you to.

My daughter made a reservation for her birthday on July 19th with 13 people. We called early that morning when they first opened and then they called us back at 4:00 p.m. just to confirm the reservation. When we arrived, no one greeted us for 10 minutes and then a waitress quickly passing by told us our room was in the back. My guests all seated themselves and we learned that our waitress was the only person working that evening and that they had sent other staff home. Our waitress tried her best to take care of us and the two other customers that were there. No one else came in that evening, or even walked through the door. I would have assumed we would have been treated a little bit better given the number in our party and that we spent $400 that evening in an empty restaurant. We gave a 20% tip because we felt bad that our waitress was doing everything herself. I can only assume there was one chef in the back due to the length of time it took for the food to arrive. We did not see anyone else working it was a ghost town. I have wanted this place to be very good every time I go but unfortunately I just keep getting disappointed and it’s too expensive to keep trying. The food was mediocre at best, the steaks were less appealing/tasty then Texas roadhouse or similar restaurants. The gnocchi served with the steak is most likely frozen and reheated because it was very hard. Other guests had small mistakes with their meals due to the staffing shortage but never had a chance to flag down our waitress to correct them. A disappointing 17th birthday for my daughter.

The stale smell of smoke when walking in the door was a turn off to start. We had not realized that it had a cigar bar, and that would have made us pass this place. After being seated it took more than 10 minutes to be approached by any wait staff in a 50% or less filled restaurant. Our appetizers took another 20 minutes to arrive. My husband’s ribeye was average, at best and definitely not worth the price paid. Did not find a reason to return.

Never have I eaten from a more inconsistent restaurant with poor service. Over the last 3 years the food quality has been hit or miss. You could order the same meal everyday and it be different each time. So much so that we stopped eating here. Thought we would give them another chance, but after Waiting 1 hr for carry out at 12 on a thursday when your order is a burger, blt, and soup, we will not be back.

The Garden Grill is an exceptional restaurant with stately interior. Here you will experience the finest dining in Weirton. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The chef and bartender are world-class. We had a lovely afternoon. Went for cocktails and appetizers. We had the back outdoor room to ourselves. Cocktails were top-shelf, finely concocted. We recommend the blackberry-infused vodka martini and the Aquarium with three rums, curacao, pineapple juice. For appetizers, we had three delicious starters–pierogies with bacon and sauteed onions, creamy crab risotto, and smoked wings with blue cheese–plus the roasted Brussel sprouts with bacon. And, the four of us split the chocolate ganache cake. Everything was perfect. I live out-of-state but plan to return on future trips.

This is a newer upscale establishment! You can experience upscale class & quality without suffering the pains of pompacity. The food is exquisite & the wine selection is very thought out. The cigar lounge is a little slice of solace with a walk-in humidor & liquor selection that is envied by all the other restaurants in the area. Being new has its growing pains, but they are well on track to being the hot spot of the Ohio Valley. Pittsburgh sophistication with West Virginia hospitality. They give military discounts, also. Highly recommended. Will be returning, often.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Arrived to an almost empty dining room. We then waited an unreasonable amount of time for just waters, waited even longer before we were able to place our order, and then the food took a while to come out as well. It’s one thing if the place is bustling and there’s not enough staff. There was at least 4 staff and maybe 8 tables. So, I don’t understand why the service was so slow. Not only was it slow, it was just poor quality service in general. I’m not sure which was worse though, the food or the service. The food is extremely overpriced for the overcooked, bland slop they serve. I have no issue paying good money for good food/experience. This was not that. At the end of our meal our waitress never even asked us how the food was, even though we all had a decent amount of food left on our plates. A “steakhouse” that doesn’t even bother to check and see if your steak was cooked to your liking? Strange. THEN…this is the kicker, after we left my friend had left a review about our experience. One of the staff reached out to her and harassed her on social media. I’m sure after writing this review I’ll be receiving one as well. What kind of establishment allows their staff to track down and harass customers for reviewing their poor experience? What an absolute joke. Avoid at all costs.
