Garde East located at Vineyard Haven Marina is a beachfront restaurant oasis on Martha’s Vineyard. Located in quaint Vineyard Haven, our setting is truly unique. Join us in our nautical dining room, on our outdoor deck and courtyard, or with your toes in the sand on our private beach overlooking boats in our marina, harbor views and sunsets.

Lovely spot right on the water. The staff were wonderful – super enthusiastic and helpful 🙂 Even some of the inside tables have harbor views. The carrots and oysters were great. The beet gnocchi was slightly single note in that the only flavor I tasted was beet. Recommend for anyone visiting 🙂

We had an incredible dining experience on 7/4/23 at Garde East. The picturesque waterfront location with stunning views of the harbor never disappoints. The restaurant strives to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Even on a stormy/rainy night the staff went out of their way to accommodate our party of six. The menu features a variety of dishes inspired by seasonal/local ingredients prepared with creativity. The service was top notch, a special thank you to the manager, Kat & Sarah our server and the Meg the amazing bartender on staff that evening. You truly made our family night out special & memorable. Can’t wait to visit you again.

Incredible restaurant with friendly service, water front views, locally curated menu and handcrafted cocktails. We loved the carrots and brussel sprouts for apps. The poached halibut and rack of lamb were a favorite at our table. Highly recommend making reservations here if you’re in the vineyard and having a drink or two on their beach area.

We went to this restaurant during the July 4th Holiday Weekend this year and we had a very good experience, the service gave us the flavor of an owner-managed and served restaurant, we felt like part of the “family” which is not common nowadays. Food was very good, the atmosphere was a little bit quiet for me taste, although the place the location and the view was very nice. And as many things in Martha’s and in Boston area lately, the menu is a little pricey but worth trying it for sure!

The restaurant is right on the bay front, quiet and awesome views. The ambiance is amazing. Halibut, steak and haddock were delicious. Kids menu available as well. Great service and drinks as well.

I’ve always loved Garde East because of it’s one of a kind waterfront setting. It’s literally the most beautiful and picturesque setting. And tonight was extra special. My friend took me out for my birthday. The cottage city oysters and the mussels were incredible and we particularly liked our waiter Ardi, a J1 medical student from Kosovo. His service was so personal yet professional. We had the best time!! Highly recommended.

Totally worth a visit, but just know that the atmosphere, drinks, and service are better than the food. Food was a solid 3/5. The view is ridiculously good and service was stellar. Make a reservation and if you can, get a table on the upper decks!
