The food was great. The drinks and service were not. We had a party of 9. The ones who ordered meals that were double orders ($$$) did not appear to have any more meat than the single portions. The sangria was only a taste (not even 1/4 full of wine, no fruit) and was $7… not homemade like the food. Skip the drinks.

Oh my goodness. I love this place. Very small menu with makes for delicious food. Chips are thin and crispy and the salsa has a very nice spicy bite. The pork enchiladas with poblano sauce are so scumptous. Gary got the blackened grouper tacos which he said were great. Now, Scott Bradford, I HAD to TRY the “small” blood orange margarita and it was not only yummy but may have made me a tad bit tipsy. Thank goodness I am not driving.

Best Mexican we’ve had in BG so far. Tastes fresh and not so heavy as many places. We were full but not weighted down. Had shrimp tacos and veggie fajitas, yum. Attentive server. Why do Mexican and Italian restaurants always seem so dark inside?

Garcia’s always goes above the average Mexican faire. Fresh and delicious salsa, a great menu with so many delicious options. Even the sides (beans and rice) were better than most! In a town filled with restaurants, this one is a great choice!

Ever since the 2nd location opened up, the service at the original garcias has plummeted! These waitresses don’t know beans, and doesn’t put the customers first. You are constantly asking for refills and other things. We use to eat 2-3 times a week. That’s definitely changed and probably will just stop. The food is over priced! A steak for $38!!! So, heads up.

Very dissatisfied, and disappointed in the food and service. A $38 dollar item is not supposed come out half overcooked and half undercooked. The wait for a refill of chips should not take 15 minutes, nor should a drink refill take 10 minutes. I can forgive understaffing, but seeing at least 6 servers standing around in the kitchen chatting when there are multiple table’s needing assistance is not right, or fair.

Best Mexican in Bowling Green? Was not expecting this place to be so great. It’s a notch above most Mexican restaurants to you’re probably used to. Had a pineapple margarita and Shrimp Vallarta which was like a Mexican Shrimp Risotto with a creamy wine sauce and poblano peppers served in a grilled tortilla like a bowl you could tear and sop up the sauce with. Friends had fajitas that were great too. Was really impressed and will be back.

Moved here about a year and a half ago. There’s lots of great Mexican choices in Bowling Green. This one is definitely worth of a stop. Great chips and salsa, the tortillas used in the dishes taste like freshly made. We had great service, the flavored margaritas were excellent. The place has a cool vibe/atmosphere. We’ll definitely will be back to try some more selections.

Food was fine. But when we were seated and given menus, the menus did not list all the available items for some reason! My friend happened to have their app, which did list everything (including chimichangas, which were not on the menu we were given). Just struck me as being odd.

The scenery was nice. Good place to get drinks and munch on cheese dip. Otherwise, not worth it. Butter rice at a Mexican restaurant? And the smell coming from my fajitas? It all just threw me off.
