Food was delicious, service was excellent and atmosphere was magnificent. If the weather is nice take advantage of the outdoor patio…it’s beautiful. There are weekly specials and some popular regular options. Calamari was delicious and the ravioli was very tasty. Went to celebrate my birthday with my coworkers, and the owner came to the table to congratulate me. Very nice touch….and if you’d like, you can take a picture while having dinner and they will post on the wall in restaurant. I thought that was a very nice touch.

We are big restaurant goers. We lived in Chicago and have had many great experiences from hole in the walls to fine dining, to exceptionally romantic places. I believe there are few places in NWI that can match the romantic aspect. Gambas is an exception and is by far the leader in this category. The atmosphere, ambiance is fantastic. The service was exceptional. The food, an experience. This restaurant is beautiful I have to say. We have now been 4 times and there has never been a let down. One mark I’ll say is the Oysters were incredibly small and the ice they placed them on were half melted upon arrival, water was sitting in the shells. Mistakes happen. Will go back, over and over.

Wonderful traditional Italian restaurant. Excellent food and service. Custom designed building adds to the experience. Diners should be aware a traditional Italian meal consists of several courses, all contributing to a complete meal – you should not expect a full meal if you only order something from the “Secondi” section.

Me and my set and ate for approximately a hour. We watched the owner greet and speak to everybody but us. We observed the owner going table to table making sure everyone was OK but us. Not once did he even look our way. I will never go back to that place ever again

We loved this place. We absolutely loved the pasta amatriciana. The photo of the pasta is half of the full serving because i shared it with my husband. We loved the Burrata and my moscato. The servers were super nice and accommodating. The owner was there and she was very friendly. It’s a very classy restaurant and I recommend it if you wanna go for dates or special occasions. Loved the ambiance and it was kid-friendly. Will definitely come back.
