Incredible food and service. The staff made our celebratory dinner a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this spot to anyone with an upcoming milestone. Wish we could have tried more food, but more of a reason to go back. The portions are LARGE, so come hungry. Thank you for the wonderful night Galit!

Decided to try out Galit with a friend for a casual Friday night dinner. We were able to sit right in front of the kitchen, which was fun to watch everyone working their magic. Service was great, menu was diverse and atmosphere was fun. Words if we use- go hungry because you will be full!

This place is very expensive, but it is VERY much worth it if you have a big enough group. Everything about this place just proves that it deserves the Michelin star it received.

Heard a lot of great things about this place. The hummus was undeniably amazing, with a creamy texture and delightful flavors that left me craving more. However, the pastrami was disappointingly dry and lacked the desired tenderness. The pita came out piping hot. The turkey shawarma was insanely good. The staff was friendly, providing decent service, and the cozy ambiance added to the overall dining experience. The carrot and feta starter was incredible too!

As much as I want to leave 5 stars, the service was not what we expected for a Michelin star restaurant. The food is 10/10, the pita is the best one I’ve ever had, spectacular hummus and the foie is just impeccable. Still the waitress was very condescending when I expressed I had a citrus aversion, she basically said I couldn’t eat anything and crossed out the whole menu for me with a pen, leaving only 3 options (turns out I could eat ALL the dishes). The runner very kind, same as the owner who greeted us and was super attentive. I would have loved to leave 5 stars, the food is totally worth it with a chic selection of wines, but the service fell much of our expectations. Not only because of the menu restriction, but she was not attentive at all.

Beautiful food. I loved the pickled items and the yogurt butter. The fish was so delicious. I would come here again. They also gave us cookies for the road on our way out. I think they over booked because they place was packed and they charged us for “call”, which is weird and I had never seen a that before.

We started with the beef brisket hummus. You don’t get a lot of beef but that’s not really the point. Everything tasted great with the pita & were very distinct from each other.

What a fun departure from the usual Michelin tasting menus! The Prix fixe menu offers several options to customize one’s experience. From the Kitchen counter seating area, the coordination of the chefs and the wait staff is almost mesmerizing. The ambiance is busy but not overpowering. Quite a unique experience. A true jewel in the Chicago culinary scene.

A delicious and fun experience, albeit quite overpriced and a somewhat rushed. Superb and creative drinks with unique flavors and aromas. Especially impressed by arak menu, their specialty drinks, and wine list. Our server was engaging and knowledgeable. Ordering is easy and all the dishes are shared. Highlights of the food included the pits, hummus thin and and hummus masabacha, all the salatim but especially the ezme, also the carrots, heirloom tomatoes, and bass. The standout was the maqlubah. The desserts were good, but not great, which was fine since we were stuffed, though the mahleb cheesecake was excellent. The only downside was the servers who brought out several dishes at once and were quick to clear, creating a bit of a rushed feeling. We weren’t able to hear or ask what was being brought out since they were working so quickly. For $165 per person and everything else being so wonderful, I’d have expected not to be rushed. But it still is 5 stars.
