Our Breakfast Club meets one a month at various breakfast diners throughout Pittsburgh. My pick this month was Gabriella’s. I had breakfast there before the pandemic and was impressed. I can now say our host Pete has five new customers. He could not have been more accommodating to us. Our orders came out all together made to order and very good! The breakfast sandwich was so big I had to take half of it home. Grits, hash browns sausage, eggs, Fab. Everyone was quite satisfied with our breakfast. Besides great food, Pete gave us insight on southern syrup, grits, and the awful increase in his food prices. We will see you again soon!

Randomly walked into this quaint restaurant, and our group was thoroughly entertained, and we’ll fed. Not only was Pete quick and friendly, the food was delivered with a bunch of great stories and jokes that kept us laughing all through our breakfast.

Support local businesses~ Pete, who I assume was the proprietor as well, not just cooked my meal but also waited on me, answered the phone, and kept my coffee full. What a gem of a place in Pittsburgh’s South Side Flats. Gyro omelette hit the spot, generous portion.

Stopped here while visiting Pittsburgh for a concert, couldn’t be happier with the experience. Tiny place but very charming. Great food. The guy who cooked (don’t think I got his name) was really friendly. Btw if you’re from eastern PA, they have SCRAPPLE. Please go out and support local businesses. Your money means nothing to a millionaire CEO but it can make a big difference in your community.

Early on Thanksgiving morning when no one else was open, we found Gabriella’s. It has been open about eight years now, a bright and cheerful re-working of a cozy bar. Breakfast was amazing, especially the home fries, served beautifully hot with excellent coffee.
