I am still in search of finding a “Go To” Chinese Restaurant near the St. John, Schereville, Cedar Lake, Indiana area to replace my favorite since moving to the area. Have been trying them all one at a time and surprised at the lack of choices. G. Jin has been one of the better ones I have tried so far. Still can’t give it a 5 – the food was good, and the service was good. The reason for 4 stars is that we ordered 1 Garlic Beef and 1 Beef Kow. They tasted and looked exactly the same. I think we were given the same dish 2ce. Most of the garlic beef dishes I have had in the past have had a recognizable garlic taste with green onion on it. Our 2 dishes were good, but see photos – they look the same. Our appetizer of Crab Rangoon were very good, large and plenty of filling. I am very thankful for the cookies that they included with our order which is a nice touch that other places in the area are not giving so that makes it stand out and will return again. We were given a bag of plenty of condiments too.

This is a low key Chinese food spot that has decent food for when you are contemplating cooking but don’t want to cook then you think…hmmm maybe I’ll get Chinese food so you go with the closest one and then you can’t decide what to get so you get the same thing you always get….then you have weird dreams that night… Nice.

I can’t remember if we ordered from here before but if we have I know why we haven’t again. I will say the portions are huge but that will not make up for lack of quality and they are a little cheaper and give more food than our normal Chinese go to.

Just tried this for the first time. Everything tastes incredible and it’s really hard to find a place that offers good cantonese cuisine. Pan fried noodles with chicken were delicious, we really enjoyed the beef sticks and mini dumplings. My boyfriend ordered the house chop suey with fried rice and loved it. Even my kids loved everything.
