From all the hype this place got in its reviews, the Sushi here was just okay. The taste of the Sushi was nothing stellar or engaging, and honestly, I couldn’t tell it apart from rolls sold next door at the Publix. Nothing about the food here tasted fresh.

Quiet place, GREAT to get away from it all & relax enjoying delectable variety of Japanese sushi & hibachi Nice staff; Great Sweet tea. Try the Salmon/Salmon skinned sushi. So much to choose from, must make multiple visits to try the whole menu. Great for groups too!

The food was good. However the owner was extremely unprofessional and rude. When we were there a lady had an issue with her dish and the owner came out and rudely said “what’s the matter with my food?!” The lady calmly explained and the owner went on and on about how her food is the best and bragging about her restaurant-that was empty at 7 on Saturday??- and basically told the lady she was wrong and that she can’t have it for free because it’s good food and she should like it. So rude! The lady was nice about it but I wouldn’t be giving my money to a greedy unprofessional owner like that again.

Decent hibachi. Family friendly location. Located in the Publix shopping area. Clean looking establishment. Plenty of seating area. Quiet atmospshere. I got the chicken and steak hibachi. The steak looked odd but tasted alright. Decent meal, I’ve had better hibachi, good white sauce. They did offer kid meals. $9.95 for the meal.

Shoutout to Dylan, aka the chef in the back, he’s a true master at what he does. Every time I come in there the food is impeccable and makes you want to go back when you leave. I highly recommend the pork dumplings…psssst and you might want to order two orders of the them, because you’ll want more, trust me. Great service, friendly staff, and a chef who never sieses to amaze me with the delicious food he makes.

This afternoon, I ordered the Chicken Hibachi entree as a safe bet. What showed up on my table was both tasty and plentiful in portions. This has to be one of the best hibachi restaurants in the Columbia metro.

We had a wonderful meal tonight at Fuji Cafe in Irmo, on Broad River Road next to Publix (exit 101 off I-26), so close to Harbison Blvd, yet so far from that overcrowded restaurant scene. The owner herself served our table, and as always the food and service were amazing! We had a sashimi platter, vegetable tempura, maki/roll dinner, spider rolls, spicy tuna rolls, and miso soup with salad (freshly-made in-house ginger dressing). Every detail from the perfectly-brewed hot green tea and delicious hot sake to the ice cream and fresh oranges to finish our meal were fresh, excellent quality, and tasty. We have visited this restaurant regularly for several years, and every single time the food is fantastic and the service is friendly, helpful, and attentive. I highly recommend getting off the beaten path, getting out of those overcrowded sushi restaurants, and making the trip to Irmo for excellent sushi (or hibachi) and excellent service. Thank you, Fuji Cafe! We’ll see you again soon!
