The year 2020 has been a drastic year with many changes across the industry, and we have also had to pivot our original plan of opening our second sit-down location in San Jose into a brand new concept of a deli-style take-out only restaurant alongside many popular Japanese favorite packaged snacks and drinks. It is somewhat reminiscent of a Japanese convenience store, a popular destination from kids to adults searching for a quick bite of quality food and snacks. We will be offering the same quality okonomiyaki, yakisoba, bento boxes in addition to new item kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers – another Osaka delicacy) to our menu. We have also teamed up with Shalala where they’ll bring additional Japanese favorites such as onigiri and tempura.
Based on 107 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.4 stars. Price

Lots of varieties of lunch bentos to choose from. I am impressed! The quality of the food is also quite good. The only thing we would mention is one of the eel bento we got is cold…. But still would recommend and worth a try.

Food is insanely tasty and authentic. Def will come again. Okonomiyaki was cooked just right. Prices are up there but imo just standard Bay premium. Takoyaki was straight fire

Excellent variety of products, friendly staff, accessible parking area around the place. I was impressed by the food and also the gift section. There are many cute little things to check out! I recommend you go and check out Clover Bakery, which is next door!

Convenient little shop for Japanese bento boxes. Their specialty is okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) but there are other options such as unagi over rice, salmon teriyaki bento box, udon noodles, chicken katsu, chicken or pork oyakodon.

Came here during Friday lunchtime, wasn’t too crowded. Food was pretty tasty, decently fresh. The modanyaki I had was pretty close to fresh okonomiyaki imo. I also got the karaage, it was solid, but it was saucy and I’m not that big a fan of glazed fried chicken. They have a pretty wide selection of various ready to eat dishes, as well as some that you take home and cook. They also sell various snacks and sauces and beverages including alcohol. Pretty nice place, it’s location is a lot more convenient to me compared to their Sunnyvale spot, so I’ll definitely be coming back.

Lots of fresh, to-go food choices, bento boxes, poke bowl assortment, rice with meat all loaded with sauces and good taste. A surprising amount of offerings considering how small the market is. Lots of snacks, and little gift/toy items too. Drinks on the side, and fried meats on a stick to grab as you walk through like a turnstile.

Cool bento shop. The okonamiyaki seems a little overpriced but I’m used to getting it for free at home.

Great to see this chain restaurant from Japan opening up this branch in san Jose, a new addition to the Santa Clara location. Originally famous for it’s okonomiyaki this store now expands into a mini market with many types of ready to eat dishes made onsite. The concept is just perfect for the pandemic stay at home time. Lots of other snacks from Japan also. Shout out to the Pocky Almond Crush sticks…

Love all the options. Tried a bit of everything pretty much. Very fresh salmon and food each time I got the bowls or onigiri. A bit pricey but worth the freshness
