Excellent brunch. Great, attentive service, helpful staff, food was excellent. I got the biscuit and gravy plate and it was top notch. This photo is of the avocado toast minus an egg, which my sister got. My father got the Eggs Benedict & all three of us loved our meals. Attractively plated as well! And the prices were completely reasonable for the quality of food and service. Check Frog & Slim out for brunch!

The weekend in downtown Sacramento are vibrant. For me the jazz themed Frog & Slim uses that energy to the hilt. The laid back atmosphere combined with food you would expect to enjoy while dressed for a black tie affair make allows for you to set the tone of the type of night you want to have. The owner was filling in at reception and set expectations right away with quick personalized service and genuine appreciation of our patronage. This restaurant is definitely being added to our heavy rotation list.

Came for dinner, stayed for the vibe lol. This is a nice lil spot for a good meal and fantastic drinks. The ribeye was delicious (a lil fattier than what I’m used too but still tasty), not a fan of the augratin potatoes (they were cold and had a flavor i couldn’t place-sometimes you just want potatoesand cheese! ), the green beans were divine! The bruchetta was different. Served on a crustinni type bread. The balsamic glaze was overwhelming and made the whole thing quite tangy. Ceasar salad was good but a bit overdressed. Bread pudding is small but tasty. When they said it came with berries, I was expecting like a compote or fresh berries…. I’m still not sure where they were cuz I never saw them lol. Were they cooked in the BP?! Oh, well…The vibe inside is swanky, no need to dress up but you wouldn’t be out of place of you did. Small bar area with a TV. I’d come back for a drink!

Came here for our daughter’s birthday. Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Glad we sat outside because it was a bit noisy inside. We started with the bruschetta, deviled eggs, and arancini, followed by the fall-off-the-bone pork shank and butternut squash risotto. Really good! Oh, and had to try the Heart of Gold cocktail because gin and golden beets? What!? Yummy

We go here all time.. Amazing food! Great wine! Love the lamb shank. Service is very personal and attentive. Makes you feel welcome and at home. Cozy European atmosphere with a jazzy feel. Definitely recommend this place.
