At Fritzi’s, we love having the opportunity to share with everyone who visits us the joy, the culture, and the community that goes along with this unique style of restaurant. In order to keep the conversations that give great delicatessens their flavor rolling we have decided to use a “dim sum style” ordering system. Once you are seated you’ll be given our menu on which you and your table will be able to select everything you want, specifying the quantity (and in many cases the size) of that particular dish. This way you’ll get to chat about what your favorites are, pick out little bits for everyone at the table to try, or get an extra helping of whatever it is you’re craving. Don’t worry, you can always order more later!

I was very pleased with my experience at Fritzi’s! We were looking for a good sandwich, and this place satisfied. The restaurant is surprisingly spacious for a deli, and the menu is a unique experience! I love Reuben sandwiches, so I had to try it, and it was fantastic! I would highly recommend this deli for their pastrami and fresh breads!

We had an amazing time. Everyone was so friendly and the server kept checking to make sure we were doing ok. They were out of a couple beers on the menu, which they let us know prior to looking at the menu. We weren’t drinking so it didn’t matter but it is worth mentioning. The food, unbelievable! We started with soup. We had 3 different soups, a chicken noodle, the Kerplach and the special which was a cherry soup. I would go back just for soups. The cherry soup was very unique and delicious.

We had a classic grilled dog w/kraut and a pastrami on rye, with taste sizes of deviled eggs and a potato kugel. O. M. G. Maybe we ordered enough food for 4 hungry NFL defensive players. The pastrami was falling apart, and the mustard was ‘special’… thought it was way hot, but it was a bit sweet and not too hot. I used all of it.

This place is going to be in Oakpark as long as the owners want to keep blessing us by running this business. The portions you receive are extremely generous and there are absolutely no corners cut when it comes to the quality of the meat. I’m from Missouri originally and so when I have the opportunity to try someones brisket I tend to take it pretty seriously. This brisket is easily in my top 5. The challa bread is fresh and chewy and everything you could hope for. All the sandwiches come with potato salad, mustard and two pickle spears, all of which appear to be made in house. All of this for 15 dollars. I’m sold.

Wednesday night we decided to go back to Fritz’s for hump day. Since we hadn’t been in a few weeks, we decided to try something new. We both started with soup and I have to tell you that the kreplach was reminiscent of my grandmother’s! The delicious bone broth soup was rich and hearty. For entrees, I had the smoked sable

They were very nice and you can tell they are trying, but I would not return based on the food we got. I ordered bagel and lox. The bagel was cold and hard. When I asked if they could toast it, they said they don’t toast bagels (which I am all for IF the bagel is fresh). I ate my bagel and lox with the cold hard bagel because I was hungry, but for the price it was extremely disappointing.

Stopped in on a whim for a quick bite. We had the mushroom soup, taste of deviled eggs, pickle plate, lattes and a kugel I believe. It was all very tasty. The soup was delicious but a little salty. Great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drink options. We watched a few delicious looking sandwiches and bagel plates walk by us.

Came in with my sister for a late lunch and had a lovely experience. We ordered a Rueben and Pastrami. The Reuben was to die for. So buttery and crunchy with the perfect amount of ingredients without being overwhelming or messy. We finished with a decadent bread pudding and hot coffee and it was absolutely perfect. Two really nice touches were the owner coming to introduce himself and chat with us. Also to explain how to warm the pudding in case we were taking it home. Really cool guy! Second nice touch was the awesome 90s playlist! Perfect volume and compliment to enjoy a filling and delicious meal. We also got the cole slaw and it was perfect. Not overdressed or anything. We will definitely be back to try the other items! If I could share one tip I’d love to see more specialty sandwiches like the Reuben that are combos of ingredients . Everything was lovely though and look forward to returning!

The wait staff is amazing, makes you feel welcomed right away. Location is great, and the atmosphere is calm/cozy. They have two giant windows that can open for summer to let a breeze through.

Just delightful from start to finish. Our server was helpful and attentive, everything came out quickly and everything was delicious! I had the reuben, hubs had the brisket, both were spot on. Can’t wait to go back to try more of the menu!
