I haven’t eaten here in over 15 years. I was living here when they first opened many many years ago. I was disappointed in the reviews but I’m glad I went. The food and service was fantastic. The carne asada was delicious with the gallopinto, platano and fried queso and the cacao. I know there’s different owners but glad to see the food is still good.

I just placed an online order for pick-up. I returned to the restaurant because I was missing a queso frito on my order. The skinny blonde lady at the pick-up counter did not acknowledge my claim and still insisted to search through all the items on the bags. The lady was very rude with an attitude problem and lacks customer service and attention to detail. She didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. I find this completely unacceptable and very poor treatment to a “PAYING” customer.

Excellent Latin food. Steak in particular was juicy and soft. Went there at end of day so choices were limitted.

A hollow shell of its former self.

The food is absolutely delicious, freshly made and very filling! They give you a lot of food. To put things in perspective, I normally eat my wife’s leftovers when we go out to eat because I eat a lot. But, when we order from here, I have a hard time finishing the food. You can’t go wrong ordering from this place. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but you will thank me if you go here! Everything is delicious, but my go to is rice with beans, steak, fried cheese and fried plantains! You’re welcome.

Been coming here for YEARS. It used to be our favorite place before my mom passed away. I avoided it because it made me sad but when I went back…the quality of food has gone down. The gallopinto is super bland and greasy, I’m not sure if they started using canned beans or they use tap water but the flavor is off. The queso frito isn’t real queso frito, (I’m Nica, so I know), we don’t add cornstarch because queso de freir crisps up on its own, and they’re adding cornstarch to queso blanco. The carne asada isn’t the same cut, and the salad is way off in flavor. The ladies act like they’re doing YOU a favor but that’s mercadera attitude. Maybe they changed management or something, but it’s definitely not as good as it used to be. I’ll have to drive to Sweetwater and go to Centro comercial Managua, or maybe see if the fritanga on Miller still has good food.

Big portions and a lot of options. Their food is well done and fresh. My favorite is the Carne asada which looks and taste like a churrasco with the queso frito. Service and fast and well served. Price is reasonable for the amount of food you are getting. A plate of Carne asada with two big pieces, rice and beans and a side of platanos and additional queso frito comes out to $15 bucks. They have space for you to eat inside as well. And they offer coleslaw and salsa picante. I love coming in here the food never disappoints.

First time & definitely last. Customer service was horrible. I took a friend that was visiting from CT because the place was highly recommended. Unfortunately we where rushed.. The lady was annoyed that we asked about the diferente dishes we wanted to know more about the food before ordering since we don’t know anything about Nicaragua food. she kept rushing us to order very rude. We walked away. Poor customer service.

Fritanga has the best Nica food imaginable. The Carne asada and queso frito are the top choices and love their house spicy sauce. Never disappointed ordering food from here!
