Rainy and cold arrival in Portland and we needed to kill time before we could access our hotel room. Pho at Friendship Kitchen fit the bill, though most of the seating is outdoors. Indoor seating at a bar window seat did have overhead heating. And we warmed up with a coffee with whisky. My wife had the shaken tofu and REALLY loved it.

This Pho was outstanding! Rich flavors and a perfect portion. Also the dream rolls were delicious, the crunchy egg roll in the salad roll is a must have. They have a great and large outdoor seating area with overhead coverage and heaters. Great cocktail selection also!

Incredible staff and incredible food. I had to include the third picture to show how big their garden roll is lol. Their flavors are amazing and everything is cooked perfectly. Their drinks are bomb, and the vibes are immaculate. Not to be corny, but “Friendship Kitchen” is an apt name for how kind and friendly everyone who works there is. Easily one of my favorite spots for comfort food and comfort people.

This is a very special place. Unique cocktails, yummy food, but the way it makes you feel is what sets it waaaaayyyyy apart from any other indie foot court experience! Have an afternoon on this patio with friends, and walk away smiling.

Reviews are definitely not sus. This is a super cute area with many restaurants and variety. The outdoor seating is a great hangout spot with friends. Order at the counter and they’ll give you a number.

What incredible Vietnamese food this is! I had a delicious Thai tea and whiskey cocktail (with proceeds going to the Hawaii Recovery effort) and a special for the day – Vietnamese crepe filled with shrimp and bean sprouts. I have a great fondness for Vietnamese crepes. As a white girl I probably am no expert on them, but I order them all over the US. And Friendship has the BEST I’ve ever eaten. Great people too! Thanks!

This place has BEST pho in Portland and their lemongrass bowl is delicious. The service here is always quick and it’s such a nice welcoming place to eat.

The restaurant is so cute and the food is delicious! Have been several times and it’s always a great experience. The outdoor seating when the weather is nice is an extra plus. I most recently had the Abundance bowl- the chicken was perfectly cooked and it was a good portion. Highly recommend checking this place out! Cocktails are great as well.

I was really wishing for a vermicelli bowl and Friendship Kitchen was nearby and had great reviews, so I came to check it out. Sadly, the food was not very good. The chicken was dry and underseasoned, and there wasn’t enough sauce for the noodles, so it was just a very dry and low-flavor experience. I’ve actually never had a bad vermicelli bowl before so I was surprised. They also played music so loud it was hard to hear yourself think.

Friendship Kitchen had been on my list for a while before I finally made it in for the first time for my birthday dinner! I had shaken tofu and the Love Language cocktail, plus lil egg rolls to share (not pictured).
