Ordered a banana split online for pickup, their online ordering system is pretty easy to use. My order was ready when I got there 10 mins later. The ice cream and toppings were great, I had requested no walnuts which was taken care of. The only thing that was not great was the inside of the restaurant smelled kinda gnarly, like a locker room, not sure what that was about.

Like going back into time! Me and my bestie came here for lunch and everything was wonderful. Our server, Elizabeth D, was so sweet. Place was extremely clean. Food and ice cream was fantastic. Super nostalgic for the two of us. Thanks!

This place is a gem! Man I wish they had these on the west coast. It feels like an old fashioned family restaurant back in the 70s or 80s where you could take the family out without breaking the bank, get good food, and dessert is included.

Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience as most of these reviewers. I found myself waiting over thirty minutes to be even acknowledged in an absolutely dead dining area. There was literally one other patron in the entire restaurant and at least three staff present – two servers (female, one older one younger) and one cook (male, older). All three staff members had made eye contact with me at several points (the cook had to step away from the grill to give me the menu when I arrived, no less) so I can’t imagine they did not know I was there. I made sure to change tables to have a direct line of sight to both kitchen and aisles, to increase visibility. The food was probably great, had I been given the opportunity to actually order and consume it.

I was excited to come to eat here. I worked here years ago at this very Friendly’s one summer while in college. Our waitress (Alexis) came to our table and asked if we were ready to order…we hadn’t even received drinks or menus! It was also my grandmothers birthday and she was denied a birthday song or sundea. She made us pay for some 89 cent cone but charged my 2 year old daughter $2 for whip cream and 1 single cherry. My grandfather was told he couldn’t customize a sundea either… she did not seem interested in our business. Shes lucky i left a $5 on the table (I remember how hard it was and always leave something).

I ordered today online for the Norristown location Friendly’s. When I got there the food was not made, I asked for a refund because I am pressed for time due to work. They told me to dispute it with my bank I told them that doesn’t make sense and you should be able to give me a refund. They state they are not able to give me a refund for an online order. So I called the number they gave me and that was the ice cream department for Friendly’s. I went online and attempted to submit a ticket and that was just a survey of how good or bad you guys are doing but I could not request a refund . It should be easier to return my money to my debit card without me having to wait 60 days for a dispute when it was not my fault. It also should not be this difficult to find the customer service contact number to speak to someone /virtually complete my refund or allow the stores to complete the refund or have an email/chat box where someone can submit a request for a refund. This is unacceptable and I would like my money returned for this order Order # 19336256773718016. I would like to get a corporate number or a a manager from this location to contact me. There is no way you should take my money for food that was not prepared.

I grew up in Maryland and Friendly’s was part of my experience as a kid. I live in Georgia now so I take the opportunity to visit Friendly’s whenever I find one in the area that I am traveling. This was the case this time when I visited the location in Norristown, PA. Even though my order was just a sundae while passing through the area, it was great and so was the amazing staff.
