The deviled eggs were delicious the sauvignon blanc paired wonderfully with the day boat halibut. The fish was tender, flaky and Loaded with flavor!! The squash was a nice touch that brought it all together. I hope to return soon for their quaint environment and friendly service, not to mention the delicious food!

I really wanted to like this place. But the service was slow, the food was only okay. When there are far better restaurants within walking distance, it makes it hard to say that I would go back. We ordered the cauliflower, the scallops, & steak. The cauliflower dish was bland. Incredibly bland. The scallops were good but the lentils werent incredible. The steak was the highlight.

We came here on the 1st night of our New Mexico trip, with high expectation. Had duck confit and the chickpea dish from the specials menu. The duck was done very nicely but I didn’t quite like the lentil and squash. Flavor was just a bit off for me since I was expecting French. Chickpea dish was creative but again not exactly my taste. Good experience but not outstanding.

I absolutely loved the food and the wait staff were so friendly and fun to talk to. The carrot dog was a total surprise and so, so creative. The ingredients are simple but the preparation is what elevated everything. These guys can cook!

One of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life. Incredibly rich and flavorful but not so heavy that you leave feeling overly full. And the fries are maybe even better than the burger – perfectly salty and almost impossibly crispy, with delicious frite sauce being the cherry on top. They’re so well-fried that they actually keep overnight, suggesting that they employ some form of magic in making them, as most other fries turn to soggy garbage after a nap in the fridge. The carrot dog is also very good, as is the mac and cheese. The menu seems to rotate somewhat frequently, although some staples remain in every iteration. Some of the items can be quite expensive (especially by Albuquerque standards) but I’ve yet to have anything that I felt wasn’t worth the price. The burger is a great deal comparatively at $14, but you really can’t go wrong. But maybe just get the burger.

I always look so forward to dining at frenchish, and I am never disappointed. Here’s why: The food, ambiance, and staff are top notch. Every dish on the menu is well thought out, the ingredients fresh and delicious unto themselves, and drinks, food, and service are prepared and served with the highest regard to quality. I so enjoyed the winter Caesar salad and the mouth-watering sea scallops last night and my son savored the NM beef steak frites, hands-down the best in town. frenchish is more than a restaurant; it is a good friend to visit again and again.

My husband and I had a very delicious and satisfying meal at french-ish. We were celebrating so went for the full experience including apertifs, appetizers of deviled eggs, steak tartar and an arugula salad; followed by a special of the day entree of pork belly and fish of the day, halibut. Dessert included an ice cream sundae and cheese with a glass of port. Bravo. We wanted to have it all on this night, but the prix-fixe specials were quite affordable for the overall experience of this place and could be a great option if you weren’t looking to go all out. I would highly recommend and will return.

Okay, Frenchish, I understand. However, I was expecting more French cuisine on the menu than what was offered. That said, my German beer and steak were great. Please note that if you want to dine here, proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required. Also, if you wear a ballcap sporting an American flag or wear makeup, you may hear staff say, “Must be right wingers.”

On the North side of Central, huddled between a board game store and space for lease is Frenchish. As you drive by, be careful not to miss it. If you do, you’ll be missing one of the most delicious, and visually appealing meals I’ve had in years. While the menu can feel misleading to the name (a cheeseburger at a French restaurant?) keep in mind the “ish” and take care to note their seasonal menu.

I ordered curbside pickup from Frenchish this week . . . butterscotch bourbon pudding and the “Jennifer’s Not Just for Breakfast” Yogurt parfait were delicious. Ordering from their website was easy; I was able to select a pick-up time and when I arrived at the curb in front of the restaurant someone brought out my food promptly. Great service and great food!
