Absolutely love Fred’s. Fred’s is one of those restaurants you’d cry if it went downhill. For years it’s been a staple in my family of “hey let’s go to Fred’s. The food has always been top notch, and never let us down. You could come in having a horrible day and leave with a smile, good food will do that to you. Definitely on my first choice list for restaurants in the area.

Had a very nice charcoal grilled Burger. Nachos are excellent. Couldn’t go wrong with the Maryland crab soup had a nice bit of a zest to it. The beer battered fries are crunchy, moist & very flavorful. The other patron stated that it was the best cream of mushroom soup she’s had in some time. Give Fred’s a shot if you’re cruising through Stone Harbor.

Nice surprise while shopping in Stone harbor. Really good beer draft beer selection. Had something for everyone. I got the honey hot chicken Cesar salad. Really good flavor. Family got wings, which were meaty and tons of flavor. We recommend a stop by.

I’ve been visiting Stone Harbor for 50 years and since I was old enough to remember there has always been a Fred’s Tavern. Over the years it’s expanded from just a liquor store to a great Tavern bar and now they have a pretty nice inside restaurant area and also an outside patio dining area. Good to be comfortable inside with the AC when needed, otherwise I personally prefer the outside patio. Fred’s has always had fair prices on everything they sell which can be hard to find in a summer Resort Beach town. Was very pleasantly surprised to learn they have a very good menu with an amazing kitchen! Great steak and cheese subs if that’s your thing but they also have great salads and other fare. Had one of the best chicken fajitas in my life here. Best onion rings by far! No question. And to top things off menu items are not outrageously expensive either. Very reasonable prices!

Got rid of their crab cake which is what my group looks forward to every year. Ordered burgers and fries in place, and would have been better at Chilis. Server seemed like she did not want us there at all and was in a rush to get rid of us. Sadly our favorite vacation restaurant is no longer a tradition.

Stopped here for lunch. OuR group had Philly cheesesteak sandwichES and cheeseburgerS Both were very good. Prices reasonable, wait staff excellent (they really hustle)! We have been here before and Fred’s is always reliable. Nice outdoor area or you can be inside in air conditioning.

I’m only rating on the liquor store. The American Whiskey/Bourbon section is just fine as far as selection goes, but prices are steep. Lots of secondary markups on bottles not worth a secondary markup. Had much better pricing at a big liquor store in Rio Grande, but that’s 20 minutes away. For convenience in Stone Harbor, it might be worth the extra bucks, but hunting whiskeys, not so much. Craft beer selection wasn’t too shabby, and I spotted some Alien Church in the coolers, albeit a couple bucks more than at home, but reasonable. Big wine selection, but I’m not knowledgeable on wine, so if that’s your jam, this might the place to go.

Amazing restaurant and very enjoyable. Sometimes busy, but still quite calm. Enjoy seafood, a bar, sandwiches and burges including weekly specials and steak. Enjoyable for the whole family, I highly recommend this

Great liquor store, get a t-shirt or two while there. Or, stop by the bar / restaurant next door. Great people, huge selection, and less than the ACME.
