I joined a friend at Fredrick Inn today for lunch. As always we were able to beat the noon rush. We were seated as soon as we entered and also greeted with two warm welcomes with smiles from the host and our server. We both had lunch specials and they were hot out of the kitchen in no time. Keep up the GREAT work ladies! Fredrick Inn has always kept it simple and stayed true to the meals and service they provide. I will also bet that you will always run into someone that you know when dining at Fredrick Inn. I love the salad bar and the cinnamon rolls are delicious.

Every year after the circus for the last 7 or 8 years now, all of our clown families gather at Frederick Inn for good food and good friends! This year we shared our room with a college basketball team that was in town, and I think they got a big kick out of our loud and proud crew. Most of the servers are wonderful, and they really try to keep on top of things with such a large group. We appreciate them accommodating our funky bunch and will be back!

I LOVE this kind of joint! While advertised as a “steakhouse”, it’s moderately priced with all sorts of other classic American diner food fare. Our table ordered three different menu items, and all were prepared to perfection. All entrees come with a salad bar, which is quickly becoming a lost feature of restaurants across our land. Our server was attentive and obviously experienced, as she told us she’d been working at Fredrick Inn Steakhouse for 46 years! Highly recommended!

First time and will go back. The place smells great before you walk in and the food did not disappoint. Our server was outstanding. She reminded me of my friend’s daughter who also has been a service worker in the past. She had a great delivery and knew the menu. It’s a cute restaurant inside and folks seemed to be enjoying themselves that were seated around us. It was a Friday night around 6:30 and we still got in pretty quickly.

We were looking for a nice dinner place. It’s an old quaint building and so are some of the fixtures. Wait staff extremely busy, but friendly. Seemed to take a few minutes longer than normal for us, however it was good. Prices reasonable, and food tasted good.

I expected more for the prices charged. Crowded dining room. Hard to walk between diners without bumping them. Don’t even think about coming in with a wheelchair! My tenderloin was $9 and came with a tiny bit of lettuce and I had to pay another 75¢ for cheese. And if you want fries it’s another $3 charge. The server was great! I have other places I’d rather spend my hard-earned money at.

My husband and I were on our anniversary trip and stopped in for steaks due to other reviews we had read online. We were NOT disappointed. The service was great and our steaks were cooked to perfection and so flavorful! If we are ever back in St. Joseph we will definitely visit again!

Chicken livers we’re not battered or floured. They were like eating mush!! Couldn’t eat with a fork to dip in gravy! Baked potato was delicious. Rolls & cinnamon rolls not fixed with yeast, like they used to be & we’re cold. Very disappointed ☹️ with our wedding anniversary dinner. It will be quite a while before we eat there again. Used to be a good place to eat.
