Enjoyed a really great breakfast until I received my bill. My table all ordered water and they charged us each a dollar for a glass of ice water…. Had I known I would be charged for water, I would have ordered a soft drink, or nothing at all… way to take advantage of your customers…. I didn’t see “water” as a priced beverage item on the menu…but I did notice the “no carry in” sign on the door when we walked in. Unfortunately this is our first, and last time at the Fredonia Family Restaurant based on this experience.

Always such good food. So many options. Best little hidden secret. Plus, the guys are good-looking, so that helps. Especially the main guy with the bucks logo tattooed on his finger. So sweet, funny, and sexy.

After our visit today, we will never be back. Food ok and what you would expect fror a diner, albeit a bit high on the price. However,, when our bill came, we were charged 1.00 for each tap water. When questioned, we were told “thats what Mcdonalds does” to which we responded “Yes, for bottled water”. They also charged us 2.00 extra for using a debit card. We said it wasnt a credit card. Apparently the surcharge is for anything but paper currency. We were told, “when you take your car to the mechanic there are different charges” The staff that was working then said “Its not our decision on any of this and there is nothing we can do” We said, you can tell your manager that his nickel and diming for profit has cost him previous repeat customers.

I can not believe they are charging for a cup of tap water. That’s right folks $1.00 for tap water. I will never be back. When a business start to nickel and dime customers…it’s just a matter of time before your little business is going to be OUT of business.

Ok being in the service industry myself, I seldom get out, and when I do I want to enjoy it. I sat at the counter where I could appreciate those cooking, so nice to have somebody serve me. Sherry was my server, she got me a piping hot cup of coffee and I ordered a skillet that comes with toast. I listened its a very quiet place compared to our bar life, everybody eating and enjoying. A great mix of ages, everybody seemed very happy. My skillet was great, the hash browns were nice and crips, and the fixings between them and my eggs, very good. I noticed how clean it was behind the counter, and also how clean the people working were. Very refreshing, took me awhile to get there but I did. Hopefully I can again before we move.

Fredonia Family Restaurant is a great choice for a meal. My wife and I stopped here with four grandkids while visiting Harrington Beach State Park. We had tasty meals and good service for under $50.

The food and atmosphere was average, but charging for tap water is ridiculous. Especially since it’s not listed. Nickel and diming customers is a sure why to lose them. We won’t be back.
