I was so excited to try this place. I have been craving real old fashioned Jewish food for a while. We tried out a few items. Their matzo ball soup was disgusting. The matzo ball had no flavor and was a strange texture. They put noodles in the soup, that’s a no no. Broth wasn’t that good either. We tried the potato latkes. Not good. Was like eating mashed potatoes fried into a patty. I like shredded potatoes in my latke’s. The barley and mushrooms were ok, needed a little salt and pepper. The kugel was pretty good. Their garlic pickles were very good. The tables at the restaurant were very sticky, that’s gross. The service was good.

Great service and amazing sandwiches. The “slope joe” sandwich (pictured) was great, the pickles and fries too.

Worked with F&M for our shiva call and they were AMAZING. They handled four days worth of lunch and dinner. Had a delicious variety every day with deli, bagels and lox, salads and dinner meals. Food is fantastic and service is impeccable. They were a pleasure to work with and can’t wait to order again

I had a warm tongue sandwich which came out cold. The tongue was so salty. I dont mind salt but this was way too much. The kishka was ok as well as the coleslaw. I paid for the largest sandwich but didn’t seem like that’s what I got. I feel like they might have made an accidental error on which size I ordered. Service was ok although he wasn’t dressed as a waiter at all.

My first in-person kosher deli experience and it was most positive! The staff are incredible. Great food, I bought many choices as a newbie. My favs, Brisket Knish, Sweet Noodle Kugel, Chicken Egg Roll. Very happy with Dr. Brown’s diet cream soda. I’ll be back to try a sandwich.

Regretfully, after my very first try, I will not patronize Fred and Murry’s again. I’ve eaten in many outstanding Jewish/Kosher delis in NJ and in NY. My friend and I looked forward to lunch. The outcome could aptly be described as below average. One had to look hard to find the chopped liver in the sandwich – skimpy! The iceberg lettuce on my platter looked wilted and mayonnaise-laden potato salad tasted totally bland. No, no, no, no, I won’t eat there no more!

I had no expectations. By the time I left I had enough food to feed an army. Everything looks so good and delicious I’m glad I picked up the chicken pot pie outstanding and I had a corned beef on rye. There were so many things to enjoy I had to control myself. Looking forward to going back again

My boyfriend gets me a pastrami sandwich, on rye, with coleslaw and extra russian dressing. That’s from someone who doesn’t even eat any of that!

I was in today for a take-out order. The food was delicious, but most of all the service was wonderful. The gentlemen behind the counter were respectful and helpful. Unfortunately, many establishments today don’t offer both. Fred and Murray’s definitely does!

The old man and I came for Father’s day and we felt like we right back in NY. Food and service was wonderful.
