Great old school pizza and pasta restaurant where the owners are actively involved and so welcoming. It was our first time there. We had pizza, salad, garlic bread, and ziti with meat sauce. It reminded me of restaurants when I was growing up in Chicago. Don’t let the strip mall location fool you. Really good food at very fair prices. But the staff make it even better.

When you walk-in to Frank’s, it immediately takes you back to that old NY style pizza parlor from the 80s.

I didn’t have any expectations as it was my first time here. The food was absolutely amazing! A little odd that they serve everything in take out containers, but I completely understand the decision from a business perspective. Service was what you’d expect from an “order at the counter” establishment, but we never felt ignored or rushed. Their Mozz sticks are huge and their Margherita pizza is wonderful!

This place is best known for its nostalgia. It’s a true thin crust pizza with good sauce and toppings. Servers are friendly enough and a lot of older folks that grew up with the pizza are its biggest fans. Pizza certainly isn’t bad probably not one of my favorites, they also have a full menu of dishes to try.

We really enjoyed Frank’s! We got a medium pepperoni pizza. The sauce tasted good, cheese was plentiful, and crust was good. The only thing we wish we could change was that the center of the pizza was very greasy – which could have just been a one off. No matter what, we will definitely eat the pizza again and again! And service was great!

We ordered take out. The price was right compared to other downtown non-chain pizza. The pick up was smooth and easy. Parking was easy and the atmosphere inside seemed lovely.

I went to eat something for lunch and I wanted to sit down and I opened the blind a little bit because it was so dark in there the waitress came over a shut it back when I asked her to open it a little she said the owner said no I asked the owner could I open it a little for some light while eating it was also a rainy day and cloudy.. she in formed that that’s how she keeps it cool and I could not open the blind some I told her I would only be there for 20 min and I seen it open to guests earlier when I had rode by she told me no still.. I feel as though she was being racist toward me because I was black. I will keep my business at Mikes Pizza on New Bern avenue

I love franks pizza. I have always loved frank pizza. I’ve been going for 20+ years now. Since I was a kid. But today I order the bowl soup and a Philly steak. Philly steak was great as always. But when I go to open my soup it is filled halfway. Why should I pay 5.50 for half of a bowl? If you’re giving away to much soup and your not making a profit. How about ordering different size bowls. This makes no sense. I should have just ordered a cup for 3 dollars.

This has been a favorite of ours for more than 30 years. My husband introduced me to Franks 33 years ago when we first met. My husband Ronnie passed 2021 and 10 of us held a birthday celebration in his honor on April 7th, 2023. We were a little surprised we had to order from the counter but once they took our order everything was brought to our table. Everything was exactly as ordered and our pizza, lasagna and our favorite Philly Steak and Cheese Sanwiches were to die for. The service and wait time was fantastic! Thank you so much for accommodating us! Elena

Mama Mia! OH so Good!!! Frank’s has been a fantastic place to dine in, or to go since the mid 1970’s! I remember going to Frank’s for lunch when I went to Charles B. Aycock Jr. High School. Everything on the menu is outstanding. Don’t forget the Tiramisu!! Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. Please support local business! Longview Gardens shopping center.
