Please note that this is only a review of the drinks, atmosphere, and service. I did not try the food. It’s a great date spot if you’re looking for drinks and conversation. Calm, comfy, cozy. The mezcal and tequila-based cocktails were phenomenal, service was prompt and friendly, prices were reasonable. Be sure to check out the small upstairs bar if you can get a seat if you want an even COZIER experience. Would definitely recommend for a laid back date or an after-work drink. May go back to try some of the food

My husband and I came here on a Thursday night, during the last week of restaurant week. We both wanted to order the skirt steak, but unfortunately they had run out of it for the day— we were a little bummed, however, our dining experience was still stellar.

My recent dining experience at Franklin Social left much to be desired. I started my meal with the deviled eggs, but unfortunately, they fell short of my expectations. The eggs had very little filling, and to make matters worse, they lacked flavor despite being adorned with a few garnishes. It was a disappointing start to the meal.

Bartender was great, they gave us plenty of time to review the leather-bound booklet menu, very cute touch. I got the “not a big dill” cocktail but did not taste dill, still refreshing. I like that this speakeasy is an attic and not in a basement or lower level like most. Pretty decor and fun spot to get handcrafted cocktails, I would check it out again.

One of the best brunches in Jersey City! The drinks service and food are all incredible, I loved the dill pickle drink! Their bloody mary is also made in house and tastes amazing. You get such great portions with the meals and the service is A+. Do yourself a favor and visit this spot it’s a gem in a beautiful downtown neighborhood in JC!

Franklin Social looks like a awesome bar but my wife and and I only had dinner outside since it was a beautiful night. Overall service was quick and polite, no issues at all. The food was the star overall. The fish and brisket tacos were a good starter since there was a special on them. We shared the Mac and cheese and it was one of the best Mac & cheese that I’ve had in quite a while, being seasoned and cooked perfectly. I had the fish and chips which was portioned perfectly and had a great balance between the crispy salty fish, the tender chips and the delicious coleslaw. My wife had the duck which was cooked perfectly but it did come precut which does let some of the juices go but was still good. The Brussel sprouts were the best part of her dish, being crispy yet tender with great seasoning, whereas the polenta was flavorless, which somewhat disappointed, but was by no mean bad. We’ll be returning to try some other shareable apps.

It had been a while since a restaurant lived up to exactly what I expected, but Franklin Social did the job! Very charming decor, interesting menu and everything we tried was delicious. Highly recommend trying the restaurant week menu! They also have great daily deals in general

Absolutely one of the best brunches in Jersey City in a long time. Food was incredible and service very good too with music at their Sunday Brunches makes for a nice atmosphere. We enjoyed a terrific Kielbasa salad as an appetizer and my wife had a delicious Arugula salad for her meal while I enjoyed immensely chicken and waffles. My wife says the martini’s were some of the best she has ever had. Will definitely be going back !!!!

We tried to go here a few times when it was colder and could never get a last minute table. On a hot summer Friday, we were able to go right in at 630pm.

If you should find yourself with Jorell as your waiter, consider yourself extremely lucky. Frankly the man could serve me a bologna and cheese sandwich and I’d give the restaurant five stars. Yes, he’s that good. Super friendly, personable, and knowledgeable.
