Stopped into this happy little restaurant for breakfast. Lots of families gathered around sharing a meal and coffee. I had the breakfast sandwich on sourdough. Delicious and fresh. Definitely stop in next time you’re in Franklin.

I love sandwiches. I probably eat 3 or 4 sandwiches a week. Today, I chose Franklin Mercantile.

Delicious food. Very busy. Very crowded. Long lines. Long wait. Ran out of steak so unable to get our desired dish. Soda machine was broken so unable to get an Arnold Palmer. Ended up get a BLT and that was yummy. Others in the party enjoyed their chicken salad and their sandwiches. Staff was friendly and apologetic. Hopefully they can get some additional hands on deck to move along their service of all the people that want to enjoy their cute little place. I also hope they can be become better prepared to meet the desires of their customers, but I understand that things can’t always run smoothly all the time. I will be willing to try this place again.

This has been one of my favorite spots for over 20 years now! I always hope the tomato soup is the soup of the day! And the fruit tea is some of the best !

I really do not know how they stay in business. I went in last week and ordered a sandwich and chips to go. When I opened the box I was so confused because half my sandwich was missing (?) I called them and they said yes indeed they do charge $11 for half of a sandwich (on regular sized white bread so it is SMALL) and a small bag of chips. They charged me $2 extra for avocado (for half a sandwich once again). The place also has you tip, so I walked out of there paying $16 (with tax) for a half sandwich. In all, this should have been no more than $5. That is just ridiculous. I have never ever been to a sandwich shop that gives you a half meal and asks you to tip them. If you do not have a sustainable business model, do not be in business. I will never go here again or recommend it.

An oldie, but a goodie in downtown Franklin. Delicious sandwiches on the menu and a fruit tea that is pretty tasty. I highly recommend checking this place out if you have not been before and find yourself downtown. I’m a fan of the chicken panini and the chicken wrap personally. Eclectic interior that will make you feel like you’re sitting on the back porch of your grandma’s house.

Great local place to visit. The atmosphere within is warm and welcoming. I ordered the grilled cheese with tomato basil soup on sourdough bread. For a drink, I chose the fruit tea, made with pineapple, black tea, mint, and another fruit I can’t recall, great and refreshing on a hot day. This place is fantastic to say the least. Well worth a try if you’re in the area.
