First time being here. Excellent food & service, especially our server Virginia. She was very sweet & very patient with us (was here with my niece from Japan & needed to translate things here & there). We filled up our tummies with our lunch, we couldn’t have dessert Gotta come back here for dessert!!! Lastly, thank you Virginia for your great service ♥️

Mia Francesca has been my pick when it comes to italian traditional food for a long time. We used to go to the one on the Northside of Chicago for over 15 years. Today I had my car serviced at a Barrington dealer nearby, so I went to Francesca’s Famiglia for lunch. And,boy,it didn’t disappoint! I had the rigatoni with eggplant from the lunch menu and it was exceptional! The pasta was perfectly cooked,eggplant very tender and fresh mozzarella complimented the creamy and mildly spicy sauce. Mouth watering as always. Very good service and the place is extremely clean. Would definitely come again!!!

We have been coming here for years and have always had a good experience with service and food quality. Things were very different last night. I chose Francesca’s to celebrate my birthday. There was much left to be desired. We sat for awhile and after not being greeted I called the manager over. He apologized and let us know that the kitchen was backed up and ordered our drinks and an appetizer. Not sure what the kitchen backup had to do with a server never greeting us. Once we finally met our server we ordered and pretty much only saw her two times after we ordered. She visited the tables around us serving up birthday desserts and drinks etc. but it was as if she forgot we were even there. Our reservation was at 7:15 and we weren’t served our food until 9:00pm. Needless to say, I didn’t stick around to even enjoy a birthday dessert because I was so irritated by the service. Food was generally good, however my husbands meal which he orders every time we go was very bland. Bummer that my birthday was less than ideal.

Virginia took such good care of us. She is so kind and personable…as a brown woman i felt seen and safe. . And this is before we get to the food and wine. Delicious. Great ambiance. Enjoyed the whole vibe. Love this place and will be back again. Had a great time!!

We love it here. If you want quality, fresh, and just really good Italian, you have to try Francesca. My brother had his wedding reception here, and we’ve been coming here (a bit if a drive from buffalo grove) ever since then. Amazing food, exceptional service. Our server Virginia was amazing as always- her recommendations are always on point! Thank you, Virginia for the complimentary dessert for our birthday lunch! (tiramisu is also super delicious!)

Virginia, our waitress, went above and beyond to make my mother’s birthday personalized and an exceptional experience. She was so friendly and accommodating. The food was delish! We had the pasta at vodka sauce and it was so good; we also had the special – ravioli with mushrooms – and it was perfect! Highly recommend this recommend this restaurant and waitress.

I was here the other day for a family gathering. everything was on point but something that really stood out was the Food Runner, I believe her name is Cindy. Cindy did an amazing job running out our plates. She’s very organized & proper in her work. Great service, an amazing attitude & great menu knowledge. She answered the questions we had about ingredients in a dish & also gave great recommendations for the next time we visit. We will definitely be coming back!
