The food was exceptional, even the fixxins were good. Grade A Texas style BBQ. What I would suggest to make the experience better is to create a more lively atmosphere. Maybe some backyard games, live music, etc.

We had the brisket beans and cheese potatoes and 1 sausage. The brisket was very faty and not a good flavor, sausage wasn’t good at all. Beans tasted like they opened a can and put some sauce in them. The only thing that was good was the potatoes. Very very expensive for no more than we got. Will never go back.

Refreshing to see a different spin on bbq. Many of the others start to taste similar, but I like the flavor and options at this well kept secret food truck; you’re found now! I had the peach pork burnt ends, what a great dish! The picnic tables are ok, but with the heat and the bees flying around, we were forced to eat in our car. We get it, as it takes a large investment to open a larger venue with these amenities and I hope you get there some day. Was going to buy a sticker for my laptop, but it’s a little too big, maybe look into a smaller option too. Everyone should try this place out.

We stopped here on our drive back home and it was so worth it. Probably best brisket I’ve had. Didn’t need any BBQ sauce. Smoked turkey was also top notch. Sausage link had the best taste and snap when you took a bite. They didn’t just coast on their sides either. They had some of the best sides that I’ve had a BBQ joints. This place should be a sit down restaurant. It’s that good.

Best bbq in the KC area. Real, True, Texas style – how it should be. Maybe the best Jalapeño Cheddar sausage in the country. I usually get enough Saturday to hold me over until I go again.

This is your BBQ spot if you are within a 30 minute drive. There is a lot of barbeque spots in KC, I’d drive by most of them to come here.

Visited Fox&Fire on 4/3/21 with extremely high expectations that were raised by a variety of recent articles they’ve been mentioned in, as well as the great online pictures and ratings. Not only did Owner/Pitmaster Andy Fox deliver on those expectations, he easily exceeded them. He doesn’t do this, but often, you’ll see 4 and 5 star reviews on a joint with people/owners claiming they’re the best, only to be let down by their poorly executed, flavorless and sadly, often inedible food. In my opinion, right now, Fox&Fire is executing their smoked meats at among the highest levels in the KC Metro. Also keep in mind, Andy is doing this out of a tiny trailer with an offset smoker in a parking lot, not some 3 million dollar restaurant with “state-of-the-art” machinery and 35 staff members. If you think you know what great barbecue should taste like but you haven’t been there yet, I recommend you go reset your expectations.

The food is so good we came back two Fridays in a row. There’s not a bad thing on the menu. The cheesy potato bake and brisket is out of this world. And everyone is super nice.

I could go on and on, from the mouth watering smell to the out of this world taste and everything in between, you cannot go wrong here! The cheesy potato bake is to die for, the pulled pork is powerful without any sauce, and the ribs melt right off the bone, HIGHLY recommend!!
