I had an absolutely craic-tastic time at Four Clovers Restaurant in Arizona. The atmosphere was like a time-traveling adventure to a traditional Irish pub, complete with dark wood paneling, warm lighting, and a cozy fireplace that made me half-expect leprechauns to start dancing a jig. The food was so good, it could turn anyone into a full-fledged fan of Irish cuisine faster than you can say “potato.”

We have been going to Four Clovers for years and have continuously enjoyed prime rib on Wednesdays. We had not been in quite a while and stopped in recently. They still have live music during dinner, the service was exceptional, and the food phenomenal. We had the prime rib with Yukon potatoes and the pork chop with brussel sprouts. Don’t underestimate the brussel sprouts!

We have dinned here many times and have never had an previous bad issues. Great lamb and pork chops here. I have also been here on St Patty’s Day which have been enjoyable, however this March 17, 2023 really sucked!!!.We arrived at 4 p.m. Wait time for our table was about an expected 30 minutes. A previous review states, there was no hostess, which has some validity, as she was doing an excellent job preforming other functions, other than seating people. After standing in line for 30 minutes we seated ourselves at an available table, Waited another 15 minutes and was finally able to flag a waiter, he took our drink order and returned 10 minutes later with our drinks, served in flimsy plastic, single use, throw away containers. Ready to take our food order, the waiter then informed us, they were out of corn beef. Bummer! If we had known this an hour ago! We were now committed to remain and had a choice of three menu items which were still available. My wife and I reluctantly settled for the spaghettis, our daughter asked for the meat loaf. Both choices were eatable but unimpressive served in paper or Styrofoam plates or bowels. I am so disappointed an bummed out about this, I will probably never return.

The restaurant is located in an industrial park, but once you’re inside it has a nice, cozy atmosphere. The food is outstanding…I had Irish tacos (like a reuben sandwich) and it was wonderful. My husband had a sandwich that came loaded with meat. He also ordered the bread pudding, which was so massive I felt obligated to help eat it. It was drizzled with caramel, which added a nice flavor and moisture. Would certainly go back. Our server was attentive and pleasant.

Food awesome. Staff friendly. 4:30 reservation. Ordered food at 5. 90 minutes later, we finally got food two people at a time every 5 minutes. Short staffed. Waitress was nice and loved the music.

Disappointing. First off, the restaurant was out of Bangers and Mash which was the entire reason we sought out an Irish restaurant for dinner. Perhaps it was an off night or the regular chef had called in sick, but our entire meal was mediocre at best. Meatloaf was served barely warm and had to be returned to be heated up. The consistency was spongey and tasted like cheap cafeteria meatloaf. The mushy peas were just regular, whole peas in a bowl with cheese. The “bowl” of Irish Stew was more like a “cup” of stew and was not worth the price tag of $10. The “bowl” was smaller than my hand. The stew itself was really just a soup with two very small pieces of meat, tiny mushy vegies and lots of liquid. Tasted and looked like a can of Campbells soup with cheese on top. All very disappointing. It was our first time at this restaurant and we will not return. The 2 stars are for ambience as it’s a cute restaurant inside, but in a strange location.

We had Shepard’s pie, prime rib, and Bangers… All were great! We also tried 2 desserts which were brownie sundae (ok) and Irish bread pudding (amazing) was a lil disappointed they didnt have much of a selection of Irish beers… but we had a great time anyway
