We were here on a really hot day back in August. The soft serve ice cream treats were tasty and cooled us down. The ambiance here is cute and the staff was nice, but I could have done without all the Trump/Republican messaging around the business. We get it, the island votes 97% Republican, but guess what? The tourists who keep your business open don’t all vote that way and most of us would rather not see the political leanings of businesses we patronize.

This place has it all, literally! Spots to sit, food, dessert, bicycles, the ONLY ATM in town, gold carts, and friendly people. Stop here for one of only three restaurants in town.

Thank you Four Bros for taking care of both me and the hoards of others on this hot, hot mid-July day. In particular Amanda is a hard worker. I think some of these low-raters are saboteurs who dislike all the shop’s Trump memorabilia. I can’t stand him either, but I’m not gonna tank ratings because of it. Many people happily waited to be served and didn’t mind, considering they were by and large windfall from the only open restaurant being crammed full. I had a great customized burger and rootbeer float and tons of kids/families enjoyed the ice cream plus the spacious shade as shelter from the heat. I too wanted a cart for rent, but only delivery ones were left, so the cheaply-priced bike did just fine. All of the staff (cashiers, cook, management) were nothing but friendly (like every single other person on the island was) and accomodating, even checking up on some of the wheelchair patrons. Today was busy, but “strike while the iron’s hot” eh?!!

The food was great. The bathroom was super clean. The people were friendly. When we asked our kid what their favorite part of our trip to Tangier Island was they said “ICE CREAM!!!”

We ordered the Flounder sandwich, and it was so dry and hard that we threw it in the trash. This restaurant does not do the reputation of Tangiers Island any justice. We finally went to Lorraine’s and had our fresh seafood. They sent me a review and when I told them the problem, offered me a refund, which never came.

First of all, this place gets five stars for having the most easily accessible public restroom on the entire island. We made our way there two or three times during our four-hour visit. We also got a snow cone and a slushy, both good, and sat at a picnic table in the shade. They get really busy when there are a lot of tourists.

Excellent place for mint chocolate chip soft serve!!!! They have 40+ flavors of soft serve! Even a pina colada one! Fast service too! And lots of places to sit in and out of the sun! Prices are fair considering it’s on an island and it’s the only soft serve place available.

The reason for one star is the overt political display…on the flag, the cash register, and the body of the owner/manager. I am surprised and dismayed that this business is willing to alienate customers that way. (I’m a centrist and independent, so this isn’t about a political party.) The island economy is struggling enough. The locals deserve better than this. So do visitors.

For being one of only two options on the island this place was a life saver. We decided to say overnight on the island and the airbnb only allowed two night stays. We brought no food, and the grocery store was empty expect for a couple bags of pork ramen. We ate here twice. It took a while to get out food because they were extremely busy. everything was correct. Recommend the crab pizza and soft serve ice cream.
