The place is really nice, and I was seated right away. The waitress was helpful, kind and patient. The whole waitstaff was nice, and I commend them because I watched some out of control crazy loudmouth lady completely berate a couple of them because she felt the music was too loud. The gentleman she was with looked defeated, and the staff moved her seat and handled her beautifully.

Great spot, accessible to all folks since they have an elevator to get inside. Started with French onion soup, which was the BEST I’ve ever eaten. My ribeye steak was SUPERB, cooked perfectly! The NE warm lobster roll was amazing also. Glass of Malbec suggested by Tonya rounded it out. It was my birthday and it was WELL spent! WELL worth time and money spent. Happy birthday to me!

Always enjoy every experience we have at Founders house! We started with the escargot which was juicy and tender and filled with flavor! I got the lobster roll and upgraded to the truffle parm fries while my husband got the stuffed shrimp! Both dishes were very good!

Just had a drink here at Founders. Place was not busy, service was horrible. Franny our bartender was very disinterested in helping us. She saw our glasses were empty, as she looked over several times. She and the other bartender were commenting on everyone at the bar, 7 in total, my party was 2 and the 2-3 couples in the lounge. Stop being so judgemental of everyone and complaining about the tips being left for you. Tips are based on service, and your service was horrid.

My apologies to the staff who were courteous and served with a smile. We returned two unwashed glasses rimmed with lipstick(?) or something worse right at the start. The eating experience that followed was unreservedly poor for the $90 price tag for three. First, a “coke” here is the diluted cola concoction served at all pubs and fast food joints. Next, came the fried calamari (thawed out of the packet) and fried to a crisp, to the point of being unrecognizable. The Shrimp cocktail, four (not so) jumbo shrimp on a bed of ice, a morsel of lettuce, and sauce was inedible. The shrimp were tasteless, rubbery, and frankly a little nausea-inducing. I could not get past the first. Apparently the burger was ok but not great – too sweet, smothered in bbq sauce. Not a fresh ingredient anywhere in this meal. The polenta was a strange mix of flavors – not sure what the chef was getting at here. The patio seating on the Green’s edge is what attracted us here and I’m sure it will always attract an unfussy eater. For the more discerning clientele – may your experience be better!

Stopped in for early dinner as our first time. Patio seating was really nice and the service was great, though admittedly the dinner crowd hadn’t shown up yet. Everything was fresh, flavorful and cooked exactly to order. The ribeye was a really good cut, marbled with fat.

My fiancé had a cup of wine and I had a cocktail made with absinthe rinse. Both were amazing choices. We loved the drinks, atmosphere and server. Server also server me a taster for absinthe since I had never had it before which is very appreciated.

Must depend on the day. First time I ordered the salmon dish, it came as advertised. Delicious. Second time? Completely different than on the menu. Mashed potatoes (which tasted instant) and broccoli. Dessert was the same way. Strawberry tres leches first time was top tier. Second time I guess they found the cool whip instead.
