My partner likes this restaurant– a lot and comes here more than I, so I’m giving them a 3.

While the service is great and the staff are kind.. this has to be the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten…. the fried rice looked just gross like it wasn’t fresh and the chicken was dried out.. the spring roll tasted like it came out of a box and was put in the microwave. They need better quality food for more business.. 1/10. Wouldn’t recommend.

My family and I love Fortune House! It’s the best around. For the reasonable price you get huge portions. Their delivery is always quick, I’ve never had a problem in restaurant or with delivery. Our favorite is the Orange chicken (without spicy flavor), and Beef and Broccoli.

New to the area, ate here for the first time today, lady at the front was very nice. Placed my order, I’m very picky when it comes to my order and they nailed it, plus the food was absolutely delicious. Egg drop soup on point, lo- mein was perfect and the general tso had the perfect amount of spice and sauce so so so good!

We tried them 3 weeks ago, and in 3 weeks we have eaten there 5 times. Each time successively worse than the last. 1st time, they over cooked the sweet & sour pork. But the Hunan Chicken was really good, along with the dumplings, and crab rangoon. The next time we ordered we noticed the rice is not fluffy. It’s more like kernels of rice. Their fish was really good. We went 2 nights ago, I asked how popular their lemon chicken is, they said it’s very popular so I got it and 2 generals. The Lemon chx was very thin, and overcooked. More than half of it was that dry burnt batter flavor. They overcooked one of the general’s dishes and forgot one of our rice sides too. Fish was good though. Crab Rangoon and dumplings were on point still. Staff has always been very nice and sweet though. It sucks bringing home something bad when you were really hoping to love it. All in all, this place is ok. Not great.

What’s with the 1 star reviews? Great staff! This place has been around for years. The owners will try their best to get your order exactly how you want it! I’ve eaten her so many times. I don’t see how anyone says there’s not enough flavor…all the sauces are HOMEMADE! Great place for family especially small children. They also deliver and do carry out!

This is my favorite local Chinese restaurant of the 5 or so within a 3-mile drive of home. The service is always friendly and fast. The decor and establishment size are typical of a small family owned Chinese restaurant: nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain about either. The food is priced really affordably and the portion sizes are huge! If you dine in you’ll receive an extra discount. Having ordered several to-go meals, but never having dined in, I cannot comment on the ambiance. It seems pleasant enough. I have tried the beef lo-mein, pork fried rice, orange chicken, curry chicken and seasame chicken. The lo-mein and pork fried rice where both really good. The combo meals include rice and your choice of soup or spring roll. Egg drop soup is really good. The spring rolls tend to be a bit greasy, but are still quite tasty. I usually spend less than $6 at lunch and less than $8 at dinner. I recommend Fortune House over others in the area.

Last two times I’ve been here, the food has been mediocre at best. I loved this place 3 or 4 years ago, but it’s gone down. Luckily Sachse has some other Chinese restaurants

I ordered moo goo gai pan, it was disgusting. The clear sauce is supposed to have the same thick consistency as pepper steak. Was watery like someone just poured chicken broth in the bowl, the veggies were raw tasting. The steamed rice was gooey, surprisingly the egg drop soup was great.

My complaint is not the food, food is great but service has been well below par the last couple of times i have ordered with them. 1st problem ordered sweet and sour, it was not delivered with sweet and sour sauce they told me they would run one out to me. the man showed up 3 hours later at almost 10 pm beating on my door while i have children asleep. 2 i just called to order for delivery to my work and though it reads clear as day on there menu the i got less than a week ago “NO MINIMUM FOR DELIVERY” the lady told me there was a minimum 2 entree order for delivery. So irritating enough I will take my business else where
