By far the best Spanish food in the ironbound and Newark area. You might find a cheaper meal, but not the top ingredients. The soft shelled crabs melted in your mouth! Spanish coffee at the bar as an after dinner drink was fresh and mixed perfectly. Very nice staff, food came out quick.

When my family gets together for special occasions, we mostly meet up to eat at Fornos of Spain in Newark, NJ. We have been coming here for over two decades. This restaurant always pleases. The servers made sure that our glasses were always filled and the rice and chips kept coming. Everyone always leaves more than satisfied.

This busy restaurant offers an extensive menu. The stand out dishes were the stuffed scallops, grilled octopus, croquettes and dessert options. The cocktails options were also great…the gin tonic was nice and botanical. Main dishes come with sides for the table including homemade chips. The staff is warm and attentive.

Fornos of Spain is a little hidden gem. The food amazing and the service on point. Can’t wait to enjoy such delicious food. Everything we had was great. Shrimp scampi, Salmon with wine sauce, T-bone steak

It really felt like we were in Spain. Beautiful restaurant with very good, fresh food. The service was a little hectic. When we needed someone nobody was there for us but while we were eating or just waiting it was like 20 servers around us.

Best of the fine dining, great service, comprehensive menu, wide selection of wine. This place is great for small celebrations as well as bigger banquets. Room for improvement? Butter cups served with bread look cheap for such a great experience overall.

What a wonderful experience… One of the best meals we have ever eaten. From the decor, to the service, served up hot and delicious, substantial portions with much to take home. Pampered and treated like a king… Served with style. I can’t wait to return and try more. Worth the wait… They are always busy… It’s that good. Thanks to the folks at Fornos!!!

Great Spanish food. Good for lunches with coworkers or family as a celebration. The service needs some work though, as those who wait at the table are not well-trained. They don’t remember who ordered what and keep circling the table, some have language issues in communication as well.
