Our 2nd time here and loved it as much as we did our first time. Brought our family this time and everyone enjoyed their meals. It was fantastic! I could taste every flavor in my meal. Large portions, attentive waiter and well decorated restaurant. Highly recommend this place. You can’t go wrong with anything on their large menu. We will definitely keep coming back. (I got the garlic chicken which is the 2nd photo)Thank you

Looking for a Chinese Restaurant in the area and decided to give it a try. Ordered Chicken and Broccoli and Sweet and Sour Chicken. The Chicken and broccoli had a mostly clear sauce on it that had no flavor at all and the sweet and sour sauce was a little off. More veggies than chicken in the sweet and sour chicken.

We have always enjoyed the food at Forbidden City but today our meals were even better. Food was well seasoned, fresh and good presentation. We waited a while to receive our meals once our order was placed, longer than usual. But our waiter was very friendly and everyone enjoyed their meal.

We moved to the area last year, and heard this restaurant recommended the most. We went to try it out and were disappointed in the food we received.

Tonight we got combination fried rice, spring rolls, shrimp toast and Szechuan chicken. Wife said the fried rice was really good. We each had the spring rolls and shrimp toast, the spring rolls were crispy and not really greasy. The shrimp toast was a nice size. The Szechuan chicken had a nice balance of meat and vegetables, could have been a little spicier, but I also could have asked for it to be a little spicier.

I haven’t eaten in Forbidden City in years, but I remember the food being pretty good. Ordered take out tonight and was very disappointed. I didn’t order spicy food, just orange chicken and beef and broccoli. I did expect the food to have some flavor though. Both dishes fell flat. The egg rolls were filled with tasteless cabbage and the shrimp in the shrimp fried rice were rubbery. I keep thinking the bad food you get in restaurants is attributed to supply chain problems and inflation, but I have trouble “dishing” out $55 for bad or I should say tasteless food. Going back to First Wok.

Forbidden City is always great! Nice, clean restaurant with a very friendly waiting staff. Many of the waiters have been there for several years and know their clientele. The soups are good. The appetizers are always good and they have a large selection of entrees. A great place for carry out as well. This is our go-to place for chinese food.

We had the dinner combo which included soup, egg roll, main dish and fried rice. There were some munchies on the table and a teapot full of hot tea. Price was very reasonable and the service was excellent.

Food is barely average. Typical Chinese menu with absolutely nothing creative, imaginative, or new. Really should be renamed Forbidden City Chinese Diner as there is nothing “restaurant” about it. Prices are extremely high for the quality of the food and size of portions. I’d rather go to Asian Sakae on the other side of 140 where you can get something other than General Tso’s Chicken and Chicken Chow Mein.

Visited the restaurant for the second time the staff was courteous but the sweet n sour pork also sweet and sour shrimp looked and aroma was great but the shrimp were like hard and rubbery, the pork was very tough and vegetables weren’t cooked at all. Sorry to be posting negatively
