Great outdoor area with nice selection of beers, some cocktail specials and delicious American foods. It’s a great place to bring the kids, family, and more to hang out on a beautiful day outside. Lots of outdoor seating, and a whole mud pit/digging area for kids to play in. Great atmosphere and very nice seating arrangements.

Stopped for drinks with toddlers in tow on a beautiful summer day. Wonderful outdoor space with dozens of 12 person picnic tables in the shade. Large astroturf strip in the middle for lawn lounging, and a big shaded dirt pile (with trucks and digging equipment) out of the way for kids to play in. What a phenomenal idea and now that we’ve seen it, its shocking more places like this don’t have kid-centric activities. We’d spend all day here if we were local!

This is the place to go to eat and drink with young kids. The dirt pit with all the toys is a huge hit. We got the beef and tallow poutine and it was delicious. Alcoholic slushies for adults and non alcoholic for kids. A great establishment.

Great, family-friendly bar and restaurant located in downtown Black Mountain! Great food menu and they offer a descent selection of bottled and draft beers. Also, this is a great place to let the kids play — plenty of space and a nice dirt play area.

A no frills stop for a quick pub style bite. Nice outdoor space. Burgers were very fresh. Nice selection of beers; on tap and in a bottle/can.

I’ve been here about an hour and don’t have a burger and fries yet so unless you really don’t care about getting food any time soon, the atmosphere and drinks are fine. You order at the window and pick up at the truck. No service. And just twiddle your thumbs or watch kids play in the dirt if you don’t come with someone and be prepared to entertain yourself.

If you are in the mood for a burger and near exit 64 on I 40 (Black Mountain, NC) I highly recommend this place. The meat was seasoned just right…and the fries…crisp on the outside and soft in the middle! They also have a great draft beer selection!

$2 off draft beers on Wednesday! I have watched Foothills go from our town farmers market to three different establishments in our tiny BLKMNT, and I am so happy they have gone so far, what a tale to watch! The Grange is the most family friendly place in town. Being a local in a town, with a buzzing tourism industry makes it hard to find a place where locals and tourists can blend. I have six nieces and nephews in this area and it’s the only place we can go with zero argument (blocked off areas with clear your leaving signs are so helpful with wee kids). Having had the privilege of meeting the owners and many of the LOCAL STAFF I am happy to have this location and have been so happy to see its changes

I came here with a friend when it was not so busy. The food took a decent amount of time to come out and the fries were unimpressive, however the burgers were very good.
