The Traveling Dorns
This place has the most interesting decor. The art work features beautiful and interesting images of Thailand along with beautiful artisan baskets. It is spotless, you will never find a cleaner restaurant. The food is fresh. The vegetables in our dish are cooked perfectly and still have a little crispy crunch to them. We enjoy our Thai food on the spicy side but don’t want it to over power the dish. Our experience here has been mixed, we have had both Thai hot and regular hot dishes and find it has cost the dish it’s flavor integrity and over powered the other Thai flavors we love so much. We won’t let that stop us from coming back. We will just order things to what ever spice level the chef suggest that keeps the dish the most authentic. I seriously don’t think they have a bad item on the menu. I just want to advise you to be cautious if you ask them to make it spicy . They will deliver.

Finally took all the kids. Youngest daughter ordered N3 and loved it. Two boys also had that but tasted older sister’s chicken pad Thai and decided they want that next time. Husband ordered green curry and said it was excellent! Still my top choice for Thai!

Probably the most authentic Thai food in the area. They stay true to Thai flavours without a westernized menu. Love the variety of dishes available as well. The Som Tum Thai (green papaya salad) is refreshing. I’ve also ordered the Moo Satay, Pad Thai, Pad See-iew, stir fried chicken with yellow curry, stir fried beef with garlic. I always want to try something new

We had waffled on whether or not to go to Food Thai Thai for months, and after going I’m disappointed in myself for not going sooner. The restaurant is beautifully furnished, the waitstaff incredibly kind and helpful, and the food is out of this world.

Amazing Thai recipes, spices and freshness of ingredients. Pictures cannot describe it. Tom Yum is the best I’ve ever had and Panang chicken was also delicious. They also make great tea, ambience is very nice, friendly staff.

New to area, saw this place and was excited to get some good Thai food. Still waiting. Saturday night 7pm. Feb. 11, 2023. Place was basically empty except one “party” of maybe 10 people. Waitress said she would be happy to serve me and my 2 sons beverages but any food order would take at least an hour or more. The reason was because of the “party” and online orders. She was apologetic but we left.

The service was pretty good. The waiters were both very kind and polite. However the food took a long time to arrive and the appetizer came out at the same time of the entrees which sort of defeats the purpose of it being the appetizer. The food itself was unfortunately pretty weak. We asked for extra chili powder which did help the taste but only a bit. The problem was that they must have piled on the sugar because instead of the variety of tastes one expects from good Thai or Asian foods in general, it was just overwhelmingly sweet. Being sweet is alright but it was sweet and only sweet. I hope they can improve and provide some competition in the rather dry arena of local Thai food.

How to Cook with Me
Sat down and waited over an hour for my food. I would think that someone would at least tell me that food is taking a bit to come out, but that never happened. It is never a good idea to sit someone if they are going to wait a long time, but I overheard the waitress telling other people coming in the door that it would be 45 minutes to get food. Again, this was never relayed to me when I came in initially. They also gave my girlfriends food to her and thought that would appease us until my food came out 15 minutes later. You have to ask yourself why even operate if you are going to risk having such poor service. There are easy ways to remedy unhappy customers too like offering free speciality drinks that you upcharge 90% anyway or offer a slight discount on your meal. Heck, maybe offer to heat up the other persons meal that has started to cool. Just not worth it. The pad Thai was decent. The portions are not that large of you eat a bit. $14 for pad thai is also insane when that meal has, at best, $2 worth of ingredients. I wouldn’t bother even if they didn’t take forever to get my food. They gave you plastic cups too for some reason. I can’t say red solo cups made sense with their dinnerware. Anyway, this is the only Thai place close, so they have a market for now. I would change something soon or hope you can staff a kitchen consistently. Reading a comment from two months ago with a similar problem is concerning.

Dined in for the very first time. Due to issues they only had less than a quarter of the menu available to eat. We waited 20-25 mins for our food in which I was brought a dish I didn’t order because the waitress didn’t write the order down. I had to wait and additional 20 mins for what I thought I was supse to get, it was completely different from what expected. I nibbled because I was so hungry and my bf had already ate his food. The dish wasn’t very good and veggies were not cooked properly. I let the waitress know. I didn’t eat the dish. We still had to pay full price even for food that wasn’t eaten. $40.00 wasted. I wish them the best but we will NOT be eating there again.
